my name is emma jenga jenga.iam fifty eight years old.i was born in 1958 in livingstone,railways compound.i was educated at linda west primary school.then i went to canicius girls up to form three.i did my senior education at kalomo secondary where i completed my grade twelve.i joined the national service in mansa for two years after completing high school.i then went to david livingstone teachers training college.and i graduated from there in 1981.i started working as a teacher at masonsa basic and i got married and settled in choma where i was teaching at adastra basic school and choma basic.my husband passed away in 2011.in 2013,i was retired.after my husband passed away,life became hard and i decided to venture in to business to take care of my children.iam a mother of six.one boy and five girls.i have three grandchildren.

My Business

iam into cross boarder trading.i sell things like blankets,curtains and bed covers.
these goods are on demand because i supply to lodges and guest houses.i also supply to teachers from various schools.i chose this kind of business because it is very profitable.i normally order my merchandise from botswana.i normally sell the blankets at $45,and i order them at $25.curtains i order at $15,and i sell at $25.bed coveras i order them at $20 and i sell them at $40.i use the profits to pay school fees for my children,i reinvest in the business and i also use some of the money for home reuirements like food,bills and groceries.the first loan i got from zidisha has really improved my life.im able to pay my childrens school fees.so far the previous loan i took from zidisha has helped me a lot.Im managing to pay for my childrens school fess as well as bills at home.my customers like my products.I have decided to apply for another loan so that i can grow my business.the demand for my products is high there fore i need to order more staff

when i get the loan i will use the money to buy a bail of puma blankets.a bail of blankets costs $200 and there are twelve blankets in a bail.il sell the blankets at $50 each meaning il have a profit of $400.il use the rest of the money for transport.my customers will very happy to buy the blankets because its almost winter season.im very sure that my business will keep growing till i can open my own store.
