About Me

My names are Martha Nyambura, I’ve gone to School up to form two(half way through secondary) and dropped out due to fees problem. I live in Kibaoni, Kilifi. I have three Children and are all school going. the first born has just started Medical Training at the Kenya Medical Training College. My business helps with her school fees.
Am a single Mom and live in a rental house paying Ksh1500.
My home is located twenty metres from Kwa Charo wa Mae Market. but my business markets all over the Coast of Kenya. I have always been able to pay my Zidisha loans but last time I had a motor cycle accident thus delayed in paying my last loan. I hope my lenders will forgive me on this and will loan me again. God bless you

My Business

My business involves selling Second hand clothes; I started in the year 2000. I was buying the clothes at Kongowea Market in Mombasa, and then when I attracted a lot more customers I started buying my clothes from far markets like Gikombaa in Nairobi, Taveta or Tanzania where I get better clothes to attract more customers. I love my business because it has no stress, when I buy the clothes in the Market I iron them then I sell them in different places since i don’t have a permanent place I do house to house selling or at markets in different market days around Kilifi County.
This business is what sustains my family and I manage to educate and feed my children. The biggest challenge in my business is when it rains because it hinders my movement and sometimes my goods don’t arrive in time at the market but all in all I strive for success.

Loan Proposal

It is a time of changing weather in Kilifi and getting colder. Now my customers want warm shirts and jackets. From the loan, I will add nice clothes to sell in local markets as well as my shop in Kilifi town. From this loan of about 400-dollars, I can make a profit of 600-dollars.

First of all I would like to thank all my lenders for your support. My past loan came at a time i really needed it, I was able to add stock thus making me get good profit. I have been able to pay school fees for my girl in College(Kenya Medical Training College- Nyahururu) as well as subsistence cash.
    Thanks a lot!

    My dear lenders.
I am full of thanks to you and to Zidisha for this loan. Today am in Nairobi for the burial of my sister's son coming in a few days. When I return to Kilifi will put the money to use for new stock. There are some good places to buy stock in Nairobi. Be blessed and thank you again

    Hello Martha.
There's now the option to upload a new photo via your dashboard. I'll keep checking to see if you're able to do that before the application expires, and if it then requires staff approval, the amount of time remaining should be reset when it's done.
    Sorry about the problem.

If I get the loan I will be able to add stock and as I continue I will get a place/shop to sell my clothes from as sometimes its hard to sell in the market especially when it rains, with a shop i can always sell from the shop and the open market too.
Thank you for your continued support; My first born is now in form four and doing very well in school.
    God bless.

Happy New Year! Congratulations on the many payments so far in January! Perhaps you can restructure the remaining payments to be smaller and extend the due date and lower your interest. This could be easier for you and would improve your score on credit worthiness.

    Dear Zidisha lenders
Forgive me kindly, I have been sick with ulcers but am better now. I plan to clear the balance in part next week, in full by end of December. God bless you for patience

My lenders I thank you for funding the loan. I accepted the first payment of 1388 Kenyan shillings each week but it is putting too much pressure on my family and my business. It is my prayer that 1000 shillings each week will be good for you.
Your kindness is appreciated. God bless you
