My name is Jemima Asuama.I come from Berekum-Koraso in the Brong Ahafo Region. I was in a family of six but now we are of five in the family. I began my basic education at Koraso Roman Catholic basic school. I completed my basic education in the year 2010 and continued at Serwaa Kesse Girls Senior High School in the Brong Ahafo Region. In the year 2012, I was in my second year but unfortunately for me, I lost my father. So I was unable to complete my senior high school because of economic hardship and financial difficulties. I stop schooling and entered into trading to support my mother so that she can help my two younger siblings to continue their education. I entered into trading in December 2012 during the Christmas.
I am a devoted Christian and also a chorister in my church. I am humble, honest and committed person.
I started own business in December 2012 with a based capital of 2000 dollars. I raised the capital from the sale of my late father's properties. I rented a store room with some of the money and purchased the items with the rest of the money. I deal in items like rice, oil, tin tomatoes and onions.
After I have stopped schooling, I entered into this business because I saw that the community in which I live is not having any store for rice distribution. I then took it upon myself to consult a woman who deals with such items and asked for advice about the business. After the consultation, I established my business.
I supply rice to hotels, schools, church and the community. It is on retail and wholesale. The community is grad with my business so they all buy items from my store. I have employed three store personals who have me in my distribution. I am able to make about 70 dollars profit in a week. I am now looking forward to expand my business and I established about 3000 dollars for my expansion work.
REPAYMENT
I will be able to repay any loan offered me from the sale of the rice, tin tomatoes and onions.
I am going to use the money to expand my store by buy some bags of rice and also bottles of cooking oils. I am planning to add tin tomatoes if possible because the demand for it too is also high. A bag of rice (big) is 17 dollars, and 8dollars for mini bag. a bottle of oil is 10 dollars for big bottle and 5 dollars for small ones.
This is going to help me to deliver the the items to my customers like hotels, churches and schools and the individuals. This will help me to increase my profit and repay my loan on time. It is going to help me to get a profit of about 10 dollars within a week.
