About Me

I am an energetic business woman, aged 46, single with four children. I did my education upto grade 10, due to the fact my parents went on separation. Hence support was indefinitely cut off. This greatly affected my education, because I had to stop whilst I still had a desire for education. I was left with nothing to do until eventually I opted to get married at the age of 21. Life went on smoothly until my husband died in a road accident, thereafter life went back to difficulties - problems after problems. Finally I decided to start business selling rappers from Congo for women. Through this business I managed to take my children back school. Due to pressure my business didn't survive, but it went down.

One of my children wants to do driving, and the other one wants to join the army and the other one wants to do business.

My Business

My current business is buying rice from the near by Province and sale in our town, because rice is on high demand and it is very profitable in our town. I chose this business because it is the only cash crop that is not grown in any town of our province with 9 districts. And it is only grown in the neighboring Province, hence rice is always on high demand in our Province and the rest of the nation.

The retail price for this commodity (rice) is $10 per 10kg. When business is going on well I make $320 in a month.

I normally use the profit from this business to grow my business, pay for house rentals, and send some of my children to school.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan money 100 ZMW for transport to go and check on the site - where I left bags of rice, since its rain season here, so as to prepare adequately for next trip to go and ferry the bags of rice.
