MY CHILDHOOD AND EDUCATION
I was born in bomet county of the great riftvalley province in Kenya. my village is kapchumbe which borders Bomet and transmara. i started going to school at the age of five. i attended chesambai primary school and there after joined Gorgor secondary school where i did my final exams in the year 2011 and later joined portreitz medical training collage in mombasa.
HOW I OVERCAME HARDSHIPS
while growing up in our village, most of my friends who are girls never attended school due to home chores and duties that bind and subjected us to harsh treatment and harassment from our male counterparts. some of us found themselves dropping out of school to undergo female genital mutilation or get married. some even had to drop due to early pregnancies which was deemed common and never to go back to school. i was lucky to have grown up in a christian family that demanded discipline and always advised us to choose the right friends.
HOW I STARTED MY OWN BUSINESS
As a student in portreitz MTC i was always yearning to own my own business. i have been having a passion to start a part time business by venturing into hair and salon business. it was a challenge at first due to lack of capital and the fact that i never had time to do it as i was always in class for my studies. i used my little savings and i started doing hair for my peers in the hostels. soon i had enough money that allowed me to move out and rented a small room next to our college.
UNIQUENESS OF OUR LAND
our land is unique in many ways. we love visitors. learning from them, giving them our sweet sour milk. we are also great lovers of cows and every family has a number of them for family use or business.
WHAT OUR CHILDREN WANTS TO DO
Children in our place got dreams that are beautiful and encouraging. they have been inspired and motivated by those who have made it in live. they always look up to them and want to be like them. they want to be lawyers, doctors, pilots and teachers.
I love reading a lot, researching and also swimming and dancing.

my business is all about the good looks of peoples hair. i do blow drying, applying chemicals and perm. i also do dread locking , nail polishing and braidings.

hair to every woman is a paramount affair. my clients do their hair almost twice or three times a month. this gives mr the challenge to upgrade my services and give the best as my services are in high demand. also my position gives me the opportunity to serve student and business people as my clients

i chose to do this business as i personally understands the profit in it and my passion for good looking hair.

i do spent a lot of money in buying weaves, chemicals and paying other bills including electricity and water bills.
HOW I USE MY PROFIT
I use my profit in doing many things including my upkeep, reinvestment to my business and even giving donations to the needy
I will use my first loan in buying new Machines and equipment to boost my business. secondly I will have to make sure that I add about two plastic chairs for my clients. Because of high demand for my service I will also make sure I hire one more person to assist me in this business.
Music system and entertainment equipment will be added advantage for my clients, for instance digital radio,hoovers and speakers. Shaving cream , oil,methylated spirit among other beauty products.
