About Me

My name is leguka teeka, am 26 years old a single mother to 3 year old son. I was born in Kajiado in Ngong. I attended sarare primary school then later Ngong hills secondary. I was not able to further my education because my parents were low income earners.
I started training hairdressing in one of the salons near me.
After learning for 2 years I gained the skills and was able to get a small space where I practiced.
Around 2015 I met the father to my child everything was OK till I got pregnant, he got so abusive to a point I feared for my life and that of my kid.
For our safety I decided to relocate to kisii where the residents have been very kind.
I was able to continue my hairdressing business which has cartered for all my needs and that of my child.

My Business

I own a small salon where I do all kind of hairdressing. I over blow dry, chemical treatments, hair dying and braiding.
I have run the business for almost 4 years now, there has been challenges but I have managed to get enough clients to sustain my business.
There equipments that I don't have yet, I hope with your help I'll be able to grow my business and make it better.

Loan Proposal

Hello am Leguka, first let me say thank you for this opportunity.
I would like to apply for a loan of 10300 kes, this will will go in get cosmetics for my salon, I prefer buying wholesale braids since it's cheaper than buying retail. I will use 5000 kes to buy a variety of braids this will ensure I have enough for my customers to choose from. I will use 1500kes to buy shampoo and 1500 kes to buy hair conditioner this are very important products in a salon. The remaining 2000 kes will use it to buy other products like hair gel, food hair for hair setting.
I hope you will help by funding my loan to get this products for my salon.

Income Source

It's a difficult time we facing right now but one way or another we have to earn income, I have decided to offer house calls to clients who can't leave their house, I follow all the precautions to ensure I don't put myself and my clients at any risk, this has ensured that my business is running. Am able to pay rent for the space am using and am sure I will manage to pay this loan since it will help me get the products I need to run my salon smoothly.
