About Me
My name is Lydia kinoti and l am 32 years old.l am a single mother with one kid who is six years old and l am the fourth born in my family.l attended nkuene girls high school that is based in meru county and later joined Mombasa polytechnic where l pursed sales and marketing.After completion of my Diploma course l ventured into sales where l secured a job as a sales person with a local bank up to this year in August where l choose to join the insurance industry so that l can increase my income. it is has not been easy with sales job and and hence l ventured business of selling pishori rice so as to earn an extra coin. l was introduced by my cousin who does the same business and if l have extra money l always buy a few kilograms of pishori rice like 25kg that l retail it to my friends at a profit during my free time.However l am grateful to God for the far that l have come as l am really working hard to increase my clients so as to earn more commission.right now l am dedicating all my time in bringing up my son and making sure that he has the best education.most of my free time l spend with my son or watch movies.
My Business
my business is very small though l would wish to have a very big store here in town one day.l buy the two kilograms of pishori rice at ksh 100 in Embu and retail it at ksh 160. the business is very good as most people like the pure pishori rice compared to the other type of rice. l also ensure that my prices are very competitive so that l can increase my turnover.However due to lack of capital l wish to concentrate on selling the insurance policies with the ICEA lion group so that l can increase my clientele and increase my income. if my loan is successful l will use the money to pay school fees for my son.
