About Me

Am juliet Nartey, am in a family of 5, i l live in prampram i stay at prampram in Dangme West District in Greater Accra Ghana. I am a high school student but I work on a part-time basis to augment my family income

As a family business we operate a bar near the fish landing site in prampram. The people in my community are very hardwork. When they close from work they come to our to relax and have a drink of palm wine.

Helping my family to run this business is very important to me because it helps me to earn enough to pay part of my student fees.

I attend Ningo Secondary school as a Day student and this affords me the time to work

My Business

The bar located near the fish landing site of prampram. We serve the fisherfolks in that community. The bar is is frequented by between 40 to 50 people in a day. In addition to palm wine, we sell other kinds of drinks and people love to buy from us. I serve as the bar attendant when I am not in school. When I am not around my mum and dad takes over this role. In a day we sell around GHc 30 a day with GHc 10 representing our profit. Sometimes we run out of stock because there is so much demand and we have to rush to the neighboring village to replenish it. In order this avoid this, we often have to purchase enough stock to last for a month.

Loan Proposal

I own a drinking spot and i use the loan fund to purchase drinks into my spot initially i find it very difficult to purchase drink into my spot, since i joined zidisha org my business is moving on very smooth and am earning a very good profit, now with my earnings i can take very good care of myself as well as save money for nursing training college.
Thanks to zidisha or I have completed my senior high school and very happy.
Now it almost time to celebrate our yearly town festival so i have planned to use my next loan to purchase more drinks into my spot, this is time to make good sales because this is the biggest festival celebrated in the town and it's only celebrated every year so due to that every member and other people from different town come around to have fun and celebrate the festival.
