About Me

My name is sarpomaa Lydia. I am from Bechem. I was born on April 18, 1986. I have finished secondary school but i was not able to continue due to financial predicament. But i am not perturbed because i knew one day, God could open an opportunity for me to shine. Fortunately, after a friend recommended zidisha and the wonderful things that they are doing, i said i have met my saviour this year. I normally enjoy playing toys whenever i am free. Additionally, i also enjoy watching films during my leisure time. I am a business woman now, dealing in sanitary products.

My Business

One of the major challenges facing adolescent girls in my area is how to keep their bodies healthy and tidy. In ghana , the government has even taken upon itself to distribute free sanitary pads to the adolescent girls in some selected basic schools in the country on pilot basis. unfortunately, the programme was brought to an end last year and since, has not been renewed. This has been a problem in my community since some of the adolescent girls do not go to school during their menstrual period. This results a lot of the adolescent girls absenting themselves from school. Lenders, to deal with this challenge, i have chosen to I sell Sanitary pads to the women and especially ,the adolescent girls living in my area. The intention is to assist the adolescent girls to have access to these sanitary materials to prevent them from traveling long distance in look of these materials which come at a cost to them. The pads come indifferent shapes and forms in Ghana. But ones Pads like altra, pretty lady and Royal lady sanitary pads are sold in my shop.

Loan Proposal

I deemed it a great pleasure to express my deepest appreciation to my lenders and the entire zidisha community. I am once again, grateful to you all. My lenders, the selling of feminine or sanitary products to adolescents school girls has been very helpful to me and my family. It has led to the reduction in absenteeism among school adolescent girls. This is as a result easy access to the products. Therefore if given this loan, I will use sell more feminine cloth pad or sanitary products to the adolescent girls in the various schools in my community. This my lenders, will to appear neat and also , overcome the barrier of the adolescent girls absenting themselves from school when they are in their men trial period. The products I will buy include the following:
Royal Lady pad =$100
Pretty lady pad $100
Altra pad =$100
Feminine cloth pad=$70
Transportation=$30
My lenders, I will use my profit to take care of my family, expand my business and pay back my loan. Thank you.
