About Me

I am a Kenyan citizen. After completing my high school education, I volunteered to work in a nursery school that was in my village. While teaching there, I realized there was fulfillment in teaching young children and so i later enrolled in a teacher training college.I am now a teacher by profession teaching in a Kenyan school. I enjoy my work immensely since each new day I learn from my students and they also learn from me as well.It is a fulfilling opportunity for me since i also get to interact with young innocent children who are so much fun to be around! I enjoy the outdoors so much and when i am free i take nature walks mostly with my learners.Reading books also inspires me a lot so i always set some time for that each day.

My Business

I have an established shop that sells second hand children's clothing. As we know, children are always growing and the demand for their clothes is always there. My business is doing great as i am able to cloth children from low income households and even middle income homes who cannot afford to buy new clothes from shops. Thanks to the first loan i got from Zidisha, I have been able to increase my stock and also expand my business. I am back again for another loan. The Zidisha community has really helped me, and I could never be more greatful. With the loan of Ksh 103,985, I intend to add an equity bank counter. I will use $800 as my equity bank float, add $24 as my Mpesa float. With the income I get, I intend to increase my second hand shop cloths and comfortably pay my son's school fees.

Loan Proposal

If funded, the loan will greatly improve on the quality and price of clothes sold in my shop. I will be able to buy clothes in bales which will enable me sell my clothes at a cheaper price than my competitors. This will drive my sales up since customers will opt to buy at my shop because of the low prices i will offer on the clothes. I will use approximately USD100 to purchase bales of clothes and USD53 to build a larger kiosk for storing and selling the clothes i purchase in large quantity.I will also be able to employ another person in the business hence creating a source of income for somebody else.
