About Me

To Zidisha.
I am David Otieno Adero aged twenty eight years of age. I am the second born in our family of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel and Mary. We are four children, a brother who is the late now and two sisters. My one sister is married and the other is a primary school teacher now. I currently live in Vihiga county at the capital city called Mbale but I was born in Koindo village in Rachuonyo District, Homabay county.I went to primary school at Mirondo Primary School, Kwoyo Secondary School and later Egerton university.I currently live in Shabaab, Nakuru town and I do attend my church services at Friends Church in Mbale. I am employed and at the same time running a business so as to raise my school fees for my three late brothers kids and some money to sustain my family with. I operate this business too because I was driven by the desire to serve students and the community at large .I have been in this business for almost six years and am doing well but my major problem is that I am running it in a small scale and I need financial support to expand it. I deal in stationery and office supplies of late, items like pens, fool scarps, laminating materials etc. I also print and operate deal on the same related activities. This way I am sure to even create job opportunity and be in a position to help the needy people in the society. When I learnt of the zidisha micro financial institution, a non security financial supporter, I thought that God came into my aid. I have taken the initiative to apply for the loan because I think I deserve it. I do sell card holders, pens, print and most of stationery materials but in but in small scale. I need to expand and grow my business but I have always not be in a position to access any loan service due to complications put in place and the long procedure involved. I am happy that I may now be in a position to fulfill my dreams and grow my business with Zidisha when offered your helping hand. I am honest and a hardworking fellow and any support given to me is not a waste. I am a very responsible Kenyan citizen. I will pay back my loan positively when they fall due. I would really appreciate your support. I given the money I purpose to expand my services by bringing in some other services needed but could not offer. Services like say bring in a fridge and sell drinks too. Bring in internet services for browsing purposes and make it be an information resourceful centre and a research centre. Thank you very much in advance for your consideration. I know of friends who have benefited from your loan services and are doing great, I too believe that I can benefit from your services. I take this opportunity to applause whoever came up with this brilliant idea. I am waiting to hear from you. Congratulation to you and wish you success.
From.
David Adero.
This are my original words.

My Business

To Zidisha.
My small business name is DOACO Printers. Situated in town and I operate in a mobile manner within the campus to look for market from friends and student body at large. For the start it proved challenging since the act of looking for customers was tiresome but now they know my location. Sometimes I just pick orders and work on them either in the house or at the station. The market is cool and promising. As I had said I deal in stationeries like pens, foolscaps, writing materials, laminating, binding materials etc. Though most services demanded I have not been in a position to serve them with some other services but I know that with your help I will be in a position to offer this services. My services mostly are enjoyed by students, partly lecturers and general community at large. I know that now am going to make it with your support. The major risk I face is the fear of electrical mishap, if it happens my business could partly be closed ie. could not offer some services.
My operating expenses monthly include purchase of stock, electricity bill and rental. These when added together accumulates to a roughly fifteen thousand monthly. This cost always varies with the operations undertaken in a month. Fifteen is the maximum I have ever accumulated. I thank God for the knowledge I have gotten so far from the degree course I have been pursuing and attending to classes partly in the evening! A BCOM course in accounting has been very helpful to me. All I want for now your financial support so that I move to the next level of performance.
My monthly revenue, I proud to say that it is sufficient to cover for all the business expenses and I am sure I will be in a position to pay for the loan you will give me. I have been able to survive from the little I get from the business. I am looking forward for your support since have productive plans but I cannot implement them due to lack of financial resource. But now with your help I know that I am going to make it. I will share this information with others so that many can get your services. Your establishment has been very helpful to many and I anticipate that I will be part of you. Thank u very much and I wish you a prosperous activities.

Loan Proposal

I do sell stationery materials to students within the university{Egerton University} and the community around it.I print and photocopy their skul works. This earns me US6.8The previous loans had enabled me to bring in additional 3computers and this have seen my business grow hence generating in more income.Cyber use among students has always generated me around US4.4 a day. When i get another loan, still i will bring in 2 more for i still have space. Also due to the presence of many clubs within the university,I had started printing Tshirts for them eg 4 ENACTUS club but as a broker. One shirt costs US3.4 and sells at US4.54.I therefore want to venture my new loan here too.Despite high rental cost I still can get something to pay back my loan as have always done.I will be happy if for once again i am loaned to expand my services to the community, thank u so much.
