My name is Beatrice Atieno,to ezra gumbe primary school and the joined St agnes girls shibuye for secondary education.I then joined Sigalala polytechnic for cloth making and design.
After completing my training,I searched for a job but was not able to get a job despite searching hard,i took a loan from a friend and bought a sewing machine and started off from my house.I used to market my services through social media and word of mouth, the business was picking up very slowly but I finally landed an opportunity to make school uniforms for a nursery school, these was a great opportunity , I was able to make enough money to repay my loan of $100 and rent a room fro my business.and that is how my business was born.
I come from the luo community , I come from the same county with POTUS and I am always proud of that,it only means to me that anyone can make it in life.
I have a set of twins Davies and David, they are six months old, they are my bundle of joy and they give me reason to work even harder.
Being a mother <I love children so much and spend my free time with children ,socializing and dancing a bit.
I am a trained dress maker and designer. Creativity and innovation always keep me going. I design new cloths and make cloths according to the needs, tastes and preferences of my customers.
I attribute the demand for my services to timely delivery, strictly adhering to customers needs and wants and that ensures I provide exactly what the customers need.
I had always admired new cloths designs and the factor played a great role in driving me towards choosing these business.
my monthly business costs are $20 for transport, $80 for electricity,$50 rent, and $20 miscellaneous. My monthly sales per month are $500 on average and I make $330 on average per month as profit.
I use the money to take care of my twins and an orphan nephew, support my family and reinvest in the business.
Due to my excellent job,my business has been growing and therefore there is need to add a third sewing machine so that I can employ another person to help me. These would help me continue delivering excellent jobs on time and manage my large customers that I have built with time and even get more new clients. The new sewing machine would cost me $180 and I will add $20 to the amount .I expect an increase of $80 in profits per month.
