About Me

My name is Barakah Mohammed. I am an educator from Nigeria. I have taught Mathematics in secondary schools for over 10 years. I am currently the Junior School coordinator at a private secondary school in Kaduna, Nigeria. I also have interest in fashion designing. I intend to start up a training school for fashion design within the next one year. I was inspired to start a fashion business because Tailors were rarely able to sew nice well fitting clothes as I am plus sized.

My Business

My idea is to buy equipment ( sewing machines, tables, chairs) and materials (fabric, pressing iron, sewing materials) to set up a training school for women ages (18 and above) to help them become self reliant by teaching them sewing skills and how to make some items of clothing they can easily sell to make some money to help them live a comfortable life. This is because I have noticed that many of the women in my community are unable to provide the basics for themselves.

Loan Proposal

I intend to buy fabrics for my sewing business, I will produce gowns with the loan and sell at a profit to enable me pay back my loan.
