About Me

Am married to Mary Nduta, and being blessed with two sons, that is Mulei - 23 years who is currently working at Taita Taveta and John Musyoka - 16 years in Standard 8 at Kiamaina Primary School.
I attended Syunguni Primary school and thereafter i was admitted at Mutomo Secondary school where i managed to learn upto Form two due to lack of school fees which was caused by the lose of my both parents.
I started to search for a job and was employed at K.P.A as a casual laborer for 3 years.
Through that i was able to save and i started my own business at Nakuru Town where I learn a Curio shop.
That is when i married.
I have been able to cater for my family needs, pay school fees for my sons, adding stock to my business and also saving a little bit for my future reference.
Having been able to learn my own business, am able to motivate others who see as it's not possible to run your own business on how to start and manage them. My aim is build our nation, which is through tax collection and create alot of job employments.

My Business

My business is located at Nakuru town Kenyatta Avenue, opposite Post Office which is known by the name Wambua's Curio Shop No. 41.
I deal with carvings, ornaments, women lesos, Masaai brackets, picture frames and so fourth.
My business deal with both local and foreign people. The demand of my goods is always in good order because for example in women lesos I deal with original lesos whereby most ladies/women prefer more.
According to carving goods, I order them from rural areas like Ukambani, Kisii and Kisumu.
Carving products costs differ with the size for example 18 inches of giraffe cost at a price of Kshs. 300 each whereby per carton contains 50 pieces adds upto Ksh. 15,000 + transport Kshs 3,000 totalling Kshs. 18,000.
My business is profitable because i normally deal with good that do not expire. Also it is interesting in peoples' eyes.
The risk I face in my business is breakage of carvings/picture frames (mostly grasses) during transportation whereby it cost me an extra charges to repair them.

Loan Proposal

Since am going on with my business, Zidisha Loan will improve and boost my business to another level and my wish is to continue working with Zidisha.
More stock will help me meet my customer needs and increase my profit by good margin and expand my business so that I may be able to meet family expenses too
I will also be able to expand my business, earn other curio shops like in Mombasa, since according to economy growth of our nation keeps on growing each and every time and especially on tours and tourist department. Through this I will create job opportunities because I will have to employ other peoples in those shops.
Also I will be able to purchase more goods which are on demand.
I wish to use this loan to decorate my curio shops by bringing new and modern things. An attractive business will attract more customers. This will improve and increase my revenues.
I rely appreciate for Zidisha for their continued good work.
