My name is Ben Oriwa a goat farmer, from Kombewa. I was born in a family of 10 and I am the third born in the familly. My family depend on farming to make living .I went to Kombewa primary school and later joined kombewa secondary school.
I started goat farming when a friend of mine introduced me to goat farming,i started with one goat and it died ,however i did not give up,i saved enough money to buy another goat which has given birth to three young ones.
most people dont rear goat for milk in this area ,and so that makes my venture unique.the demand for my milk is high because it is sweeter and nutritious and good for babies.
I like swimming and so on my free time i visit lake Victoria to swim.
My business entails providing my community who form my clientele base with affordable, nutritious and clean goat milk.
The demand for my milk far outweighs supply this is due to rare nature of this goods in the society where i live. i choose this business because had passion in goat keeping.
In a month i use $50 and my revenues are $200 from sale of milk and manure.I use my profits to pay fees for my siblings.
Dear lenders , Thank you for your continued support. I am requesting for a loan to buy a small fridge to avoid losses of bad milk. The area I come from is very hot and milk goes bad in a very short time. I have lactating goats and milk goes bad often leading to huge losses. I would use the loan to acquire a small fridge for my milk.Thank you for your support once again.
