About Me

MY CHILDHOOD AND EDUCATION
I started my primary school education at Samoe primary school,Ndanai division in Bomet county when I was six years. After completing my Kenya certificate of Primary Education certificate ( KCPE) I went to Rotik Secondary school which was a neighboring day school.
HOW I OVERCOME HARDSHIP.
During my primary and secondary school I had to trek for about 6 kilometers each day to reach my school which was far apart. I had to to overcome all this hardship by taking parked meals every morning.
HOW I COME TO START MY BUSINESS
I come to start my business the moment i completed secondary education, I started with little capital I got from teaching in my neighboring former primary school working as a teacher under parents. I used to earn 1500 per month and at the end of the year I had saved 9000 Ksh. about 90 US DOLLARS.
UNIQUENESS OF OUR LAND AND CULTURE
Our land is combination of sand and clay and is able to support maize,beans,sweet potatoes and cattle rearing among other crops. My peoples culture ( Kalenjin) are social people who each an every December annually allow their male children pass through initiation to manhood. Now day the government has abolished Female Genital Mutilation which was also common among my people.
WHAT OUR CHILDREN WANT IN FUTURE
Our children want to be doctors,business men,pilots,politicians,architects,engineers and teachers.
MY UNIQUE HOBBY OR PASS TIME
My hobby is visiting friends,watching video and reading motivational and inspiring novels.

GOODS AND SERVICE I PROVIDE
Goods and service I provide include stationery like pens,exercise books,photocopy papers,rims of printing papers,envelopes, ink cartridges, and manilla papers. The service I provide to my customers include photocopy,printing, typesetting,report writing,scanning designing of wedding cards,report books and report forms among others.
REASON WHY THIS GOODS IN HIGH DEMAND
This goods and service are in high demand because of high population in nearby schools and the source of electricity is only within the market center hence schools need books,printing materials,printed exams, stationery and also the people around our community only rely on our center for photocopy and printing.
WHY I CHOOSE THIS TYPE OF BUSINESS
I choose this type business because of monopoly I enjoyed and the demand of this goods and service make me to put more effort. another reason is my passion with computers and typing as well as doing research.
MY TYPICAL COST AND REVENUES
My typical cost include monthly rent,water bill, cost of stationery computer equipment,cartridges and electricity bill all costing about 10,000 Ksh. approximately 100 US Dollars.
My revenue is from typing,printing,typesetting,scanning and designing of different cards from hotel menus to wedding cards and business cards. weekly I got up to 4900 Ksh. Approximately 50 Dollars.
USE OF MY PROFIT
I use my profit in reinvesting my business by increasing the stock and updating computer programs with the current one. I usually also pay for my bills monthly and my upkeep.

Loan Proposal

My first loan from zidisha is to purchase a 3 in one printer to assist me in bulk printing ,photocopy and scanning as the machine can handle all the three task.since the one I have is for only printing and the other one for photocopy is so slow.and to increase printing papers and cartridges for photocopier and printer.
