About Me

My name is Esther Kambua, a humble Christian and a ladies' lady in my church. I was born into a poor family that struggled to educate me up to form four. Being the first born in a family of seven, I had to give way for my siblings to continue with their education.

I started to help in our neighbouring school as a PTA teacher for 2 years. From there, I decided to move to town to look for green pastures, fearing an early marriage since our culture treasures much in early marriages. I visited my aunt who lived in Mombasa and there, seeing that I liked beauty, took me to hairdressing & beauty college.

After my college, I started training others in another college, where I gained experience and saved to start my own salon. At first it was difficult, but I had faith that was born not to give up.

I am married with 2 kids, as much in early marriages.

My Business

In my business, I sell beauty products like cosmetics and types of hair (weaves and braids), together with salon services. I believe that these goods will be easier to my clients since there will be flexibility in buying them in my salon, along with the services I provide like hair do (treatment of the hair, plaiting, pedicure and manicure, etc.)

I have a passion in this business since it goes well with my profession. My profits gained from my business are used to pay school fees and reinvest in growing the business.
