About Me

My name is Pamela Ochieng. I come from Kisumu county in Kenya. Iam the first born in a family of 7, all alive with our last born still attending school.I work on temporary contracts as a counselor and majorly run a handworks shop in Ahero 17 km from Kisumu. Am a single of mother of three who are all attending school, single by circumstance not choice. Am a born again Christian and I serve in church as a construction treasurer and service lead, besides I also serve in praise and worship team, doing what I love most, I.e singing, playing guitar and piano.

My Business

I make money out of handworks which involves but not limited to shaggy mats, soft carpets. duvets, pillows, beadworks and traditional baskets. I also offer consultancy as a counselor especially in HIV/AIDS and study coordination.

Loan Proposal

I have identified anew market in the island where cash flow is higher as compared to the mainland. This will require double my normal stock to catch up with the market demand of handmade mats and duvet. Since the the demand is increased ,it will be wise if i got tapestry in a roll as compared to the cut pieces av been using, and this applies to yarn too. With the 13919 loan i will be able to make more sales and within short time since there is still no competion. With this i will be abble to pay back the loan , keep my children in school and feed my family too. Besides i will be able to set aside some money as savings to improve my shop and to cater for any emergency.
