About Me

I am a Ralph Keter born on 26th march 1987 and the only son in a family of nine; my mother, seven sisters and I. I was born to a single mother who brought me up and educated me. I have seven sisters, I am the fifth born, at the moment I have five sisters after we lost two due to illness. My early life has been like for any ordinary kid born to a simple African family with no much to boast for. Apart from the challenges of a single mother family I had a normal and to my standards a happy life.
Our mother did all she could to ensure that we got the best education that she could afford as much as possible. Personally I went to primary school then went to a minor seminary and finally joined Moi University for my Bachelors Degree. At Moi University I did a course in Business Management where I specialized in Purchasing and Supplies Management. After university I was able to engage in small contracts here and there and at the moment I am a tutor at Alphax College Eldoret where I have been teaching for the last one year.
I have a family of my own of four; I, my wife and two kids. I have been doing all the necessary to provide to them the best I could and because of the challenges I went through while growing up, the I have been able be innovative enough and venture into business to be able to boost my income so that we don’t lack the basics. While growing up I was forced to learn how to survive on my own so that I could not bother my mother who was struggling to educate us on small things like upkeep money. I learned to do small businesses while in school like selling biscuits and sweets so that I could earn a little money for myself.
I love business and at the moment I am working on expanding my business so that with time that can be my full time job. This is because I love doing it and since I started doing it has never failed me.
my children always want to be people of leadership and their different fields and i strive to give them the best educations so that their dreams may come true.
At my free time i love taking time to be with the youth so that i can share with them my life experience and encourage them to move on and avoid things that could affect them in life like drugs and bad company.

My Business

I appreciate the achievement i was able to gain from the previous loan. currently i have a retail shop to supplement my income.
It is a two months old business, however I need more funds to have it well stock with all the goods needed by my clients.
Based on how the sales have been for the last 3 months, I can say that the business is able to give a gross profit of Kshs. 1200 per days.
I got the last facility of kshs. 19,000 which I really appreciated. The amount however was not sufficient to meet the budget.
As at now I require additional Kshs. 50,000 to enable me to stock more cereals and also have a separate electricity meter.
I am also employed with a stable monthly income and your support will be highly appreciated.

Loan Proposal

Upon receiving the loan facility, i will utilize it in purchase of stocks for our family shop. The shop requires about Kshs. 50,000 to be fully stocked, however at the moment I require additional Kshs. 20,000 to be able to stock the most urgent products needed by my client.
Upon having this additional stock, I expect an increase in revenue by 100%. Also with the increase cash, I shall be able to purchase goods in bulk hence enjoying quantity discount. This will translate to increase revenue.
As the business grows and meets customers’ needs and expectations, the business will be able to create job opportunities for the youth. Currently the business is managed by my spouse when I am out during weekdays and we managed it together over the weekends.
