About Me

My name is James Mwangi Kamau. I am married with two kids and I live at Utawala near MC Area where I run a hardware shop. I am an accountant by profession and after working for over 10 years in a formal sector I decided to start my business of selling hardware equipments and building materials. I started this business because the job where I was employed before was not paying well and I needed more money to be able to cater the needs of my family and expand financially. The hardware business in our area is more profitable because is a new upcoming real estate and many domiciles are under construction.

My Business

My hardware business is located near a busy road that connects Utawala with the rest of the Estate. Its about 200m from the main road. The name of the shop is "Jaba Hardware" and is a brand name of the whole estate and many customers prefer my goods because they are of high quality and I provide better customer service. I have employed two workers to help deliver the goods to my customers on time. My monthly turnover is Kenya shillings 400000 per month, which gives me a profit of Ksh 20000 after incurring all the expenses . I sell building equipments such as hammers, saws, nails, priers and building materials such as sand, ballast, stones, timber, iron sheets and sanitary wares.

Loan Proposal

I propose to use my loan on buying stock to facilitate my new lorry to be utilized to capacity such things like stock of cement gypsum block board hoop iron binding wire polythene paper locks. The mention stock will be circulated by the lorry daily and help to get more profits and employ more staffs. I also take opportunity to thank you in advance.
