About Me

My name is Florence Ansah and I come from the eastern region of Ghana from a town called Apirede Akuapim. I come from a failynof five; my parents and two brothers. They are Rev. T.K Ansah and Kwasi Ansah. I currently stay at Tema. I attended my junior high school in my hometown. The name of my junior high school is Apirede Junior High School. I attended Adukrom Secondary Technical School after I completed the Junior High School. I read science as my course in the secondary school. After the completing the secondary school, I went to Nyaniba Nursing training school because in wanted to be a nurse. I started reading more on medicine and the art of making people happy by helping them, especially pertaining to there health. I am a medicine center assistant.

My Business

I am a medicine center assistant by profession. I currently work with Maple leaf pharmacy in Tema. I really enjoy this work because i t makes me learn about lots of health conditions and the corresponding drugs given to solve such health problems. We have had cases of people coming to the pharmacy with common cases like headaches, fever, menstrual pains, cough and cold, sore throat, stomach pains, constipation, candida infections. Some of the conditions need the services of a doctor so we refer them to a doctor before attending to them. I have also realized how people abuse some drugs by self medication. In such cases we give the necessary advice and them better still refer the person to a doctor for proper care before administering the drugs to the person. At the pharmacy I learn day by day with the daily different health related issues. I really enjoy doing this job.

Loan Proposal

I currently work at Maple leaf pharmacy at Tema community one. I have also worked at a a pharmacy called Dosty pharmacy before coming to Maple Leaf pharmacy. I am into the sale of cotton wools, methylated spirits, and gentian violets. I normally sell by distributing these items to some private hospitals and laboratories as well. The private laboratories have started demanding for latex gloves and strips for 'achutek blood sugar apparatus'. This blood sugar apparatus is what the laboratories use here most of the time because when the strips for testing gets finished it is easy to get some more on the Ghanaian market as compared to the other brands. I need about $150 more to be able buy these items and supply to the laboratories. When ZIDISHA grants me this loan I will be able to satisfy my customers and also earn their trust. The private laboratories are linked one way or the other so when one laboratory recommends you to the other, they would love to also buy from you because of the testimony they have heard. When I get the is loan, my customer base will increase, I will make more profits and not forgetting the most important; my clients will be very happy. Thank you
