My name is Lena Davor and I come from the Volta Region of Ghana from a town called Sokode. I come from a family of four; my parents and one brother. I currently stay at Tema. I attended my junior high school in my hometown. The name of my junior high school is sokode Junior High School. I attended Accra Girls Secondary School after I completed the Junior High school. I read science as my course in the secondary school. After the completing the secondary school, I went to Nabita Nursing training school because in wanted to be a nurse. I started reading more on medicine and the art of making people happy by helping them, especially pertaining to there health. I am a medicine center assistant. I am happily married to Mr Davor with two lovely girls. My husband is also a laboratory technologist who works at Mishael camp.
I am currently a medicine center assistant by profession. I currently work with Jordan pharmacy in Tema. I really enjoy this work because i t makes me learn about lots of health conditions and the corresponding drugs given to solve such health problems. We have had cases of people coming to the pharmacy with common cases like menstrual pains, cough and cold, sore throat, stomach pains, constipation, candida infections, headaches, and fever. I have also realized how people abuse some drugs by self medication. In such cases we give the necessary advice and them better still refer the person to a doctor for proper care before administering the drugs to them. I really enjoy doing this job. I have a dream of establishing my own pharmacy which would have a doctor and a laboratory technologist as well. I have already started supplying hospitals, clinics, and laboratories with some items like gentian violet, drapkin's solution, and xylene.
I currently work at Jordan pharmacy at Tema. I am into the sale of xylene, drapkins solution, and gentian violets. I normally sell by distributing these items to some private hospitals and laboratories as well. The private laboratories have started demanding strips for 'acuchek blood sugar apparatus'. This blood sugar apparatus is what the laboratories use here most of the time because when the strips for testing gets finished it is easy to get some more on the Ghanaian market as compared to the other brands. I need about $165 more to be able buy these items and supply to the laboratories. When ZIDISHA grants me this loan I will be able to satisfy my customers and also earn their trust. The private laboratories are linked one way or the other so when one laboratory recommends you to the other, they would love to also buy from you because of the testimony they have heard. When I get the is loan, my customer base will increase, I will make more profits and not forgetting the most important; my clients will be very happy. Thank you
