Am 27 years single young & enthusiastic gentleman. Am the only child of a single parent, my mum, who raised me in a christian based foundation. My mum is a trained primary school teacher, been in the teaching career for the last 26 years.
She has inherited a 2 Ha. piece of land from my grandfather, where she has built a residential permanent house.
For me i live on my own near the capital city of Kenya, Nairobi. Am through with my college, where i did a diploma in Information Technology and Graphic Design. Currently am doing business for selling IT items like Computers & its Accessories at Nairobi CBD.
My source of income is my personal business, where by i buy computers & its accessories from wholesalers & sell the at a retail price. I as well do repair & maintenance of the above mentioned goods to personal users and corporate companies as well.
There is demand for goods because, Information Technology is fast growing here in Kenya, the country is needing computer services more & more especially in the interiors areas, the up-country towns so i really get orders to supply computers in high schools & administration centers like Area Chief's Offices.
My customers prefer my commodities since i offer a lengthy warrant of 2 years for the products and i do a follow-up after sales to ensure the goods are fully functional & the client is comfortable.
The business is profitable because not many people have been able to venture into it, so there is no flooding competition for supply from vendors.
The business faces the risk of bouncing cheques, if a client pays through a cheque then after i deposit it to a bank it bounces resulting to inconveniences.
My typical monthly cost ranges between 500USD to 900 USD. My sales revenue are through people who work in Government Offices and other well established organizations who know me and my Business and they make connection for me or they assist me to win a public advertised tender.
Monthly basis, i make good gross profit of almost double what i invested.
After my loan is disbursed, am going to buy 10 complete set of branded desktop computers (i.e a CPU, 17" TFT Screen, Keyboard and Mouse).
Each set is costing me 117 USD and i have quoted to sell it at 188 USD and the quotation got approved by the finance administration of the school. Am buying this computers from wholesalers who normally imports them from UK and sell at favorable prices.Since my loan credit limit won't be enough to purchase this computers, am going to add my capital savings that i have saved from my business.
From the profit i will make after supplying this tender, it will help me to raise capital to start a new business at my home background of raising poultry and rabbit keeping where my mum owns a 2 ha. piece of land, hence being of great benefit since i have longed for long to do this business before. After my second business foots on it's own, i will settle by paying my dowry and get married to my girlfriend i am in relationship with, thus meeting my dreams.
Am humbly pleading to my lenders to support me by funding my second loan to enable me to meet the due date required for the supply of the said computers. I haven been given 45 days starting 1st June 2014 to have the supplied to the school's laboratory.
My incredible lenders, i cherish u all very much, and i can loudly testimonize you kind generosity spirit, from the experience of my first loan funding!
Am highly optimistic that even this time round your willingness to fund my second loan will favor me greatly and i promise i won't let you down as proved by my on time 100% repayment of my first loan successfully completed lately.
Thanks in advance to all Zidisha lenders, my the living Almighty God bless your efforts abundantly!!
Regards,
Kevin Gitau, Nairobi Kenya.
