I am a lady not yet married from Muusini Village, Muusini Location, Kathonzweni, District Makueni County I’m a vocational trade graduate from Makueni Youth Polytechnic, where I graduated in 2013 having attained grade 2 in fashion and design.
Before I attained this career I had done my Primary Education at Matulani Primary from Class 1-8 in 1995 to 2004 and attained 305 marks. I did my Secondary education at Muusini Secondary School from 2005 to 2008 and attained a mean grade of C- .
Currently I am employed as an instructor in Longonot View College as an instructor in Fashion and Design Department since2014. My assignment is to teach Grade 3 students in Tailoring and Dressmaking. This is my Second year as an instructor.
I look forward to start my own business to train others in this noble profession. After leaving y form iv i was employed as house help were i was not well paid and the same time i was being over worked, so i had to be patient because i had no other option, and lastly i got another job where i was employed as a cashier in a chips cafe, there i saved some money from the salary i was paid hoping to start my own business. in the village where am working many people are interested in wearing new styles of clothes and they are interested to learn how make their own clothes for their children especially the ladies. my hobbies are singing, reading bible verses.
I am looking forward to start my own institute where I will major in making School uniforms for both Primary and Secondary Schools within my Locality that covers three primary Schools and Two Secondary Schools. at present am offering school uniforms for the nearest schools both primary and secondary. the goods i do offer they have a very high demand because no other people or shops who do offer the schools uniforms like me and also my prices are cheap as compared to the few who offers the same. i chose this kind of business because the nears shops do offer adult cloths as compared to school uniforms. since the materials for school uniforms are cheap as compared to adult materials, and for me it will be very easy.the profit i get i use it in my needs and also saving the balance to start offering adult cloths. To date I have identified the shopping centres where I will operate from Kithumani Market in Nzaui Sub county in Makueni county.
