About Me

My name is Hawa Aluede. I am in Lagos, Nigeria.

I'm a graduate and a small-business owner. Growing up, my mother owned a business of her own, and she instilled in me the need for being independent by earning money to support myself and also to help support the family.

My Business

I am in the textile business. I sell local fabrics (Ankara).
I also have started selling ladies' handbags.

Loan Proposal

I'm going to be buying new goods for my business. I recently ventured into selling ladies' handbags, and I'm going to be focusing on bringing in more of those new products.

Income Source

Risk & Revenue Information: I only deal in goods that many ladies consider "necessities" that can’t be done without. So, no matter the economic situation, women usually still
do patronize my business. I also have a job that provides me with a monthly income,
so I wouldn't be stuck unable to repay my loan.

EDITOR'S NOTES:

1.) For anyone who may not yet know this, please be aware that although English is an official language in many African countries, English usually *isn't* the first language of
most people in Africa; rather, a tribal language (or two or three or more) usually is/are
the first language(s).

2.) The "Risk & Revenue Information" is submitted separately and, therefore,
doesn't appear in the "Show original English" section, below:
