About Me

I come from Enchi in the Western part of Ghana, . I was a young boy who was brilliant and was interested in studying. Roman Catholic School was the first school that I attended. I proceeded to Secondly School, passed and futhered my education to the Teacher Training college. Actually I was interested in Teaching and I loved the job of teaching, I went for further studies at the University of Education, Winneba where I graduated as professional teacher. I am a mathematics tutor at Dormaa Ahenkro Senior High School. I studied mathematics and now I am married to one African Queen Called Angela ASARE. We have three children and because the salary is insufficient, I looked for loan and opened up a boutique that I sell various goods to help the family.

My Business

Dormaa Ahenkro is where I was stationed to teach after my University Educcation. People travel as far as to Berekum to buy quality shirts and shoes, so I decided to go into this business business venture.Every Tuesday of the week is a market day in Dormaa Ahenkro. Farmers and other places near dormaa Ahenkro. They buy shoes, shirts singlets, panties, ladies underwear, boxer shorts and many others I started with a business capital of Ghc5000 from one of the local micro- finances.I(Teacher' Credit Union) I pay school fees with part of the profit I make.

Loan Proposal

I intend to buy men's cup $30, men shoes and sandals $35, men shirts $40, men's trousers $30, ladies underwear $40. Flying tie $20. These are the benefits I will get from buying these items: first of all it will beautify my shop to appeal to the eyes of my customers that I have new items in stock for them thereby increase their visit to my shop for more to look new things to buy. Similar shops are in town which means competition therefore new items in my shop will attract new customers for me and my customers will also feel good. New items like these will also compare me to reduce prices of items in my shop to be able to go for new goods at any point in time. When you have little capital to trade, you are compare not to reduce prices of items because you bought few items and you need profit on the few goods purchased. I believe that with a higher capital base to buy more goods it wiil enable me to price my items in such a that it will attract customers when they compare prices of items from different shops. When prices of items go down the poor peasant farmer easily buy for himself and the family. Currently,I use to have a profit arround $2 on a shoe, $0.5 on one cup, $0.5 on one trouser, $0.5 on ladies underwear. If I do the rough calculation on the above items and due to the fact that I will buy more it will increase my profit to about $100 a week which is arround Gh350.

Very best wishes with your enterprise. It is sad that teachers salaries are not enough to live on, so you can't spend the time concentrating on your students rather than your business. I hope it all goes very well for you, your family and your students.
