About Me

my name is Justus mike okonya obuya.Am curently residing in mtwapa. I was born in busia in western Kenya. Am 30years old,,married and a family man Am a father of a cheerful baby boy aged one year. I went to Mtomondoni primary school in 1990 to 1999 after completing my primary level. I went to Kenyata boys high school in 2000 and completed my secondary school in 2004. After my o level i stayed home for sometimes trying to figure out what best to do . things did not work out well until i joined Free gate college where i did a language course, that was in 2005. I started my first job at Bamburi beach hotel. I did well with this job but only for sometime, This is a seasonal job, when we don't have enough tourists.some looses their jobs.I was among the an fortunate. i lost the job and that's how i got into business. I started with a small retail shop which i did for a period of two years. Although it was a good start but wasn't enough for my family needs.I came up with another idea, i started a boutique. With this business am now happy and comfortable with what i get as revenue. My boutique is situated in the heart of Mtwapa town. Being at the busiest part of mtwapa i offer good and fair services.I sell all types of gents and ladies wear. i also sell children's wear. I ,must say that its a good business because in a good month i get an income of ksh 30,000 per month. with this amount i use ksh 3,000 to pay the boutique's rent, and ksh 2,000 is used to pay my house rent.i use ksh 5,000 for my family food budget. and ksh 800 to pay electricity And ksh 10,000 is used to pay my helper, who is very active and hard working.

My Business

I have a boutique in mtwapa. I have been in this business for over ten years. I sell all types of clothes new and (mitumba) used clothes, i normally get my products from a neighboring country, Tanzania for the new clothes and for the used clothes i get them from Gikomba market in Nairobi and also in Kongowea market in Mombasa. Its a good and interesting business because it gives me the chance of traveling and meet more people, and make friends. In my business i make a good profit of ksh 30,000 per month. and save ksh9,200 per month after all expenses.I also face risks in this business like the price of the used clothes are now high making it hard for us and the customers since its the most selling product. another challenge is that i have to travel so much in search of good and better products, that sometime i spend very little time at the business. My ambition is to make my business grow big in order to get enough income so as to meet my family needs.Thats why am here to request for the loan from zidisha.

Loan Proposal

Thank you so much for approving my loan application, i would like to thank the entire zidisha team for making this a success. With this loan i want to add more stock of clothes to my boutique, So with this amount i wil use ksh 20,000 to buy new clothes, ksh 10,000 to guy the mitumba, and then the other ksh 20,000 will be used to add other products like cosmetics, so with this big stock am sure of a better business hence making more profit.
