I was in 1964 in Nyahururu. Attended starehe primary school in Nyahururu, later attended Ndururi Secondary school upto form two and later joined Leshao secondary school where I completed my ordinary level Education. I attended textile training where I majored in dressmaking. Later I enrolled in computer literacy in Nakuru town. Am a Christian protestant, Presbyterian Church of East Africa muguga lanet (PCEA). Am a responsible and active member of our church and also community, Am the vice chairlady of Women Guild a Sunday school teacher and also Sunday school church treasure. Am married woman with three children though the elder is deceased; the second one has finished form four (Kenya certificate secondary education) and the last born is in standard five 2013 in st Xavier primary school in Nakuru town. My husband is a businessman who operates a small garage in Nakuru town, in a place called shabab outskirts of Nakuru town. I have worked in many in numerous economic activity. I did hawking in Nakuru town 2002/2003 where I was selling Tea leaves and also sold clothes in Nakuru town which I was making. At my leisure time I make beads such as necklaces, bracelets, necklaces, rings and which I sell locally, at my free time. in the community engage myself in merry go round such as upendo women group with 20 members am the vice chairlady, we contribute kshs 2500 monthly to empower members. Am also a member of another village group called good neighbour with 21 members we contribute kshs 300 weekly which we give to one member every week. I also engage in subsistence farming.

My Business

I do keep livestock to earn living and cater for my family minor basic needs. I have two dairy milk cows which are freshians breeds which have high production capacity. I have constructed a shed for the in our plot of land where I have kept them under zero grazing. I do milk the two times a day and produce approximately 22 litres . Milk has a very high demand in the area, actually most of the time we have a high shortage in supply of the milk. My customers comes from the village and prefer my milk because of the farmers add water to the milk and this reduces the quality of milk and also some uses wrong measures for milk which I take it as an advantage. I sell quality milk with no water and also use the correct measures to maintain my customers always. I also keep layers and broilers chicken in the same plot of land. I had layers and 200 broilers. I collect 120 eggs daily and I had a wider market of eggs in machine centre and hotels in town. I have sold the stock because the broilers had matured and the layers have dropped in production capacity. The challenges I face in this business is the rising cost of animal feeds in the local market which is actually reducing profit margin. The only risk I may face is the rising cost of feeds which at the moment are not so bad. In a month I incur the following expenses feeds kshs.16, 000 treatment kshs 4,000 electricity kshs.1, 000. And monthly sales of from milk ksh 16,200, Sales of eggs kshs 24,000. if I get adequate finance I will increase the number of cows and layers to benefit from larges scale of production. The profit I get I plough back part of it, pay school fees, buy beads for beadwork which I do at my leisure time.
