About Me

Am Charity Kiti Ngala. From Mtepeni rural area but now residing in Mtwapa. Am from an extended family of 13 people. am the first born in my family. Am twenty six years old. I have seven sisters and three brothers. Two sisters and one brother fished primary school but could not extend their education to the secondary level due to the financial difficulties in my family. The other six are still in school, primary level.Being the first born in my family am responsible of all the family needs. for that reason i had to start a business so as to meet my family needs.Am class eight dropout due to my family poverty status. after the class eight i first started with selling farm produce, this included such like coconuts and oranges . taking from the farms and selling them to market. Although it was a good business, but it a seasonal business. so i had to look for an alternative business that will meet my family needs. So i started the green grocer, and am happy because its doing good. I can say that it's a good business because i earn a minimum of ksh 20,000 every month. With this amount i use ksh 13,000 and am able to save ksh 7,000 per month.

My Business

My business is a Green Grocery. At my Business i sell all types of vegetables and fruits. Am situated along the Mombasa, Malindi highway. Being in the center of the town am happy to be at a very good business site. Mtwapa is a very fast growing town in the coastal strip of Kenya. With its high population, people of different communities live here. For that reason we are at a very good business center. I must say that it's a good business. because. in a month i get a minimum of ksh 20,000 per month.Out of this i use ksh 5,000 to contribute to my sibling's school fees, ksh 5,000 is used for family food and ksh 1,000 is used to pay for the store i use at my green grocery. And because i don't stay with my family i use ksh 2,000 to pay for my house rent here in mtwapa. I save ksh 7,000 every month or sometimes more. I will use this to pay my zidisha loan My business has risks, that's include when it rains the business becomes low..My ambition is to expand my grocery so that i can meet my family needs effectively. And that's why am requesting this loan.

Loan Proposal

thank you zidisha members for approving my application.with this loan now am going to use this wisely to expand my business. first because i had been running my business is an open air along the main road now am going to use a certain amount of Kenya shillings 5,000 to build a permanent place where i will be selling my goods. then i will use the rest on buying more stocks to my shop. because by doing this it will increase my daily income to my business.
