About Me

My names is SIMON CHIRA KARIUKI, i live in Gilgil town in Nakuru county.I am married to Jane Nyawera we are blessed with three children.Two of them are in primary school while the last one is One and a half years old.I am an O-level graduate and holder of various certificates from various organizations partainig youth Entrepreneurship courses.I am also the secretary of the Gilgil Youth Focus Entrepreneurship Club.The Club deals the warfare matters of its members.
,Though i sometimes hawk around during market days because of many people who came here to buy and sell goods.
With the profit i get from my earnings i complement it with my Wife's small Grocery stand,Dealing with fruits and vegetables
With my earnings i have been able to support my mother Whose a widow in purchasing a piece of land which now i am proudly calling it home.I have also been able to provide for my family's needs and also to see my children in school.
Besides all that i am hoping that one day day my business will grow to a successful Small scale industry Where by i can vendor my products to my esteemed customers in Wholesale within Gilgil town and beyond for this has always been my ambition.

My Business

My business entails buying and selling of music cd's movies and dvd's.I also include flash disks and memory cards.I started by selling music cassettes but due to technology growth,i had to change to the current business.I have been in these business for the last six years
I source my products from Nakuru and Nairobi since there is no Wholesale shops concerning my products sale in Gilgil town.
My town is moderately populated town due to the presence of two main military barracks.The armed forces and their families are my major customers.In addition,to farmers in the outskirts of Gilgil town.
My product's demands are increasing and to reach my customers interests,i have to increase my stock and also my business in particular.
I know my business can do better if provided with the necessary support.I say this because it enables me pay my house rent in time and also reach my family's needs.
The business has its challenges and risks,by that i mean, harsh weather conditions,damages to some of the products when renting,Day to day transport service,lack of adequate funds in increasing my stock to meet my customers demands,i know and trust that through the Zidisha micro-finance support my business will be successful to a greater height.
With my monthly earnings,i budget for my sales products at Ksh 40,000 and sale them for Ksh 60,000 making a profit of Ksh 20,000.Hopefully with a bigger stock and wide variety of the products in addition to a small shop,i am sure i can make much more than what i make at the moment through support from zidisha..

Loan Proposal

thank you zidisha organization and all lender for having activated my loan .i will use the money to add more stocks in my business like memory cards land flash disk as they are in very high demand at the moment .i will also try too supplement my business with other thing that i will find useful and can move fast.i will also set aside for more latest DVD movie which will also supplement my business a lot .I will manage my finance in a way that i will be able to pay in time.
