I
am a young man of age 26 living at kieni west constituency. i did my
form four in 2003 and immediately after school i started farming which
was my area of interest according to how i had seen many guys of my age
succeed by doing a serious farming. I had an idle piece of land and
another occupied with coffee plantations which had been given to me by
my father and now i started keeping it in use. i did cabbage farming
which took a short period to mature and in other part of the shamba i
did maize, soya, and beans. i was able to attend a mechanical class and i
am now a professional in engine repairs (farm machines, water pumps,
generators, tractors and others). the business is doing good though luck
of fund /finances is becoming a problem and hence decide to seek help
from Zidisha.
For
the few years i have been in farming, i can says its not a bad business
as long as you are able to grow whichever crop as recommended. my
business have been good to me, especially cabbages which takes very few
months to matures, i takes them to market like, nyeri market, nyahururu,
nakuru. Coffee Farming gives me maximum profit and am able to care for
my needs and also have savings. i have decide to look for funds because
i now want to trim the coffee plants also spray recommended pesticide,
fertilizers and many others for the sake of good produces. Am most
interested in coffee farming because of the high demand to the crop in
our country. it is also giving good profit and this time round i want to
emerge the best and the highest in coffee growing, but the luck of
finances is hindering me from all this. thank as you plan to help.
thanks very much zidisha for lending me a loan. i will now prepare my farm for more crops and also buy necessary substances to treat my crops for good produce. i will also use some money to shape my coffee in order to have healthy produce by end of this year whereby coffee is highly needed in our country Kenya. so by December i expect to have a good bonus because i will have treated my coffee and hence have more weight. thank you for your funding and God bless you.
