About Me

Am Debraa Wachuka Kimata, a God fearing widow aged 72 years. My husband passed on in 1988, leaving me with eight children; at the time 3 of them in secondary school and two in primary school. After raising a small capital through farm products I was able to start buying and selling second hand clothes in the local market. With this business I was able to provide for them and educate them up to college level. Later in life I have taken under my care two orphaned children whose parent was my niece. I also live with and take care of another one boy left behind by my son who died four years ago and whose wife deserted them. Am now educating them in secondary school with proceeds from my clothe business and help from my own children.
Am determined to continue taking care of them until they are able to provide for themselves. Through my business am hoping to buy a small piece of land where I can settle with them. I will be very grateful for anyone willing to help me achieve it and share God’s blessings with me!

My Business

I started my clothing business in 1988 from a small capital from sale of maize grown from 2 acre rented shamba. Im sold 10 bags and from the sale I bought 2 bales of second hand cloths and went to the local market. With Gods blessings and hard work I have never failed to make some profit. From second hand clothes am now able to buy and sell new clothes from a make shift stall in the local market. I was able to progress due to small loans advanced to me by self help goups where I take my savings. Currently I have a stock worthy about Ksh 80,000. Daily sale fluctuates from Ksh.500 to Ksh 4000. Am determined to improve my stall and expand this business because it has helped me a lot financially and I believe I can do this with assistance with loans with low interest , that I can easily repay as well as meet my daily expenditure. The month of december is normally good for my business because may of my custmers have sold farm produce like maize and they can buy vloths for chrismas. I always plan to double my stock around this time. Am hoping that Zidisha will be my help.

Loan Proposal

the sole purpose for thi loan is to increase my stock in order to boost my business as we go cl;ose to harvest time and x-mas holiday. I intend to use Ksh 30000 to buy men cloths that is trousers and shirts., Ksh 20000 will buy women wear assorted items like full dresses, skirts, brouses and inner wear. the remaining ksh 10000 will be used to buy assorted children wear
