My name is George Olubai from Amoni Village,Teso south,I was born in a family of 12, and i was the third born.I went to Amoni Primary school upto class 8.Due to financial constrains I cld not proceed to secondary school,so i ventured into farming and has never looked back.I do my best with meager revenues from the farm to pay for my kids fees so that they may have a better future.
I come from the Iteso community in western Kenya.I love our culture and I am proud to be a Teso, you are welcome home to see for yourself the interesting culture.
My eldest son has always admired farming,he wants to be a farmer just like me but he wants to make it more commercial and adopt latest technology. The second born wants to be a pilot
I love my family and so most of my free time i spend with my two kids teaching and telling them stories.
I am a commercial farmer dealing with vegetables. This are fast moving consumer goods and the demand is always high throughout the year. I choose this business because it was more profitable and need small capital to start.
I spend about $50 in a month to buy pesticides and labor my monthly revenue is $200.I use my revenue to pay for my children school fees
I am requesting for a loan to facilitate purchase of a larger foot pump for my farmer, currently I am using a hand pump which is quite ineffective.I big foot pump is easier to use and will make me till a bigger land hence increasing my production and revenues.Thank you
