I am Mr. Felix Maiyo 25 years old and holder of diploma in Information technology and currently pursuing a degree in IT. In addition I have some experience in investments from my former businesses. The urge to be self-employed and the need to ensure others acquire knowledge easily and affordably have lend me to come up with the business idea

I am an employee at Safaricom Limited as a retail agent which provides me vast experience in doing business in a professional manner which is geared towards providing solutions to customer needs.

I have Management and leadership skills along with in-depth Technical Knowledge in computer system. Skill Track Agencies is a business venture which deals with provision of stationery products and services such as photocopying, printing, scanning and typesetting. The idea targets University, College and primary students around Juja Town who cannot access these products and services at cheaper prices. Recently it has also expanded its idea to incorporate selling of ice cream, repair of electronics and sale of electronics and electronics spare parts. The profit from the business is ploughed back into the business to ensure its expansion and continuous operation without capital difficulties

The proposed business is located in Kiambu County, Juja town, and along Thika Super Highway opposite Jomo Kenyatta University main entrance. The business has been operational for some time now and is scheduled to expand its operations this season when most institutions are open and the demand for stationery and electronic services is expected to be high. The lacation is well fed with tarmac road, constant electricity and the security is tight in the area as the main police station is a few meters away from the site. The location is also strategic for the business idea.

Each of these competitors poses a threat to Skill Track Agencies because they are strategically located on the main routes in the town and have been operating for a long time now.

However, because Skill Track Agencies is customer oriented, that offers services promptly plus the high quality services and affordable products, which the competitors don’t have, we hope to get an upper hand by planning to market our services aggressively. We hope to lead the pack in the next 7 months upon embarking on expansion of our operations

Loan Proposal

I would like to borrow a loan to buy a new printer to cater for the demand by customers. the University population has increased for the pas year hence the need for a better quality printer which will cost me ksh 60,000 . i already have savings of 40,000 and any assistance will be highly appreciated.
