About Me

My name is George Letsa. A Ghanaian from Avenorpeme located at the southern part of Volta Region. But I currently live in Dzodze. I graduated from Anloga Technical Institute in 2013.
I spent my childhood ages with my parents in Avenorpeme before my father passed away and my mother moved the family to Dzodze. I had my JHS education in Dzodze and those moments had been a hard one since I am with a single parent. I had to help my mum every day after school so that she can get enough to support me and my other siblings’ education. I passed my BECE by the grace of God and had to continue. My mum by her hard work saw me through secondary education and I have successfully completed to the Glory of God.
I have after my secondary education, I entered into a craft to save money for my tertiary education.

My Business

My Business
I have been engaged in the weaving of Kente cloth for about a year and a half now. I had learnt this craft from a friend while I was schooling; I did that during my vacations. Kente cloth is an African traditional wear which is common in Ghana. It is one of the most expensive and cherished clothes worn during special events. It is mostly worn by kings in Ghana.
This is how I operate the business. The major material required for the production of kente is tread. Different kinds and colours of thread are used. Since there is not enough money to buy the threads, the buyers of the cloth buy the tread for me and I weave for them from which I am paid. This they do on monthly basis

Loan Proposal

I am able to weave a set of Kente (a se t of Kente is equivalent to two yards of a cloth) every week.
It is my and plan to buy the thread myself 100$ worth of thread is needed to weave 3 set of kente cloth which will give you about 65% profit if i buy the tread myself.
It is also in my plans to employ some people (a minimum of two for now) so that we can weave enough and sell. The help of these two people will help weave about four sets a week. and paying back to my lenders every week is no problem because the buyer are ready with money any time to buy. getting this loan will help me a lot. thanks
