About Me

My name is David mwangi mutea.i was born on 1 December 1983.I was 6 years old wen i started my primary education at Kianthumbi primary school where i completed my primary education in 1998.I then joined katheri high school in 1999 for my high school education and completed my kenya secondary certificate education in the year 2002.
The main hardship i have encountered after completing high school is the raising of capital to start my agribusiness which was about $500.00 (apr 43,000.00 KES),,that include the cost of putting up the farm structures and acquiring one dairy cow a heifer. The idea came when i needed money for my upkeep, the farm also needed organic manure.I started milking the cow after it first calving. I sold the milk daily to get income, thereafter it has developed into a small scale agribusiness.
My home is located in the slopes of mt kenya where the climate is cool and wet which is favourable for dairy farming. Animal fodder is readily available.
I would like my children to have a bright future by acquiring good education. In my part time i like reading books on business, books about dairy cows and also entrepreneurship articles.

My Business

I have one employee who takes care of my dairy cows. I pay him about $75.00 per month. The services are so useful because i offer a permanent employment to my employee. The goods are on high demand such as organic manure is on high demand during planting seasons. Milk is always on demand in my area.
I choose this business because i had passion for agribusiness and the climate favoured my business.monthly i spend about $125.00 on animal feeds, veterinary cost and structure maintenance. The cost increase as the number of cows increase.
I reinvest part of my ptofits in my growing business.the remaining balance help me in home improvements.

Loan Proposal

When i get the loan i intend to expand my dairy cow structure and also buy more animal feeds for my dairy cows. The cost of expanding the structure and buying feeds will cost $80.
The remaining amount will help me pay school fees for my daughter who is in class seven. Now i expect my business to increase more profit with around $ 75.00 monthly.
