About Me

I am Osei-Poku Richard. I learned tailoring after completion of my secondary education to enable me pay for my further education. I do tailoring after closing from my teaching job, but I want to do it as my full-time business now. I would also like to open two branches in addition to the one I have now. This would enable me to employ or enroll some people who are disadvantaged to learn through apprenticeship, and also to export some African Wears from Ghana to neighbouring countries.

I have four children. My children would like to become businessmen and some nurses.

My Business

I normally sew African Wear clothes (shirts and trousers). These clothes are in demand in Ghana now and in some African countries. The costs of the business range from $300 to $3000 depending on the type of material and machines you are using and also the cost of energy. It is my intention to expand the business to train less privileged people and also to export some of the sewed clothes to the nearby countries.

Recently I have also started farming in addition to the tailoring work. This also will fetch me some money.

Loan Proposal

I am going to use the loan to buy insecticides as well as fertilizer for the seedlings. Also some of the money will be used to purchase pesticides and chemicals to kill the weeds and again pay for workmanship .

I would also like to open two branches in addition to the one I have now. This will enable me to employ or enroll some people who are disadvantaged to learn apprenticeship, and also export some African Wears from Ghana to neighbouring countries. I am also into tomato and cashew farming. I just started the farming to support my income.

My Business

I have one tailoring shop which I currently operates after closing from my teaching job. I now want to take it as full-time job. I normally sew African Wear clothes (shirts and trousers). These clothes are in demand in Ghana now and some African countries. The cost of the business ranges from $300 to $ 3000 depending on the type of material and machines you are using and also cost of energy. It is my intention to expand the business to train less privileged people to get apprenticeship and also export some of the sewed clothes to the nearby countries. Recently I have also started farming in addition to the tailoring work. This also will fetch me some money too. I have about one acre square of tomato farm which after harvesting will earn me about $2000 in three months time. In fact I need money to buy pesticides and insecticide to let it grow well. Note, I still do the teaching work.

Loan Proposal

I am going to use the loan to buy insecticides as well as fertilizer for the seedlings. Also some of the money will be used to purchase pesticides and chemicals to kill the weeds and again pay for workmanship .

I would like to reduce my instalment payment because I am now doing the nursery of the tomatoes seeds. So I cannot pay as stated initially.

I used the just ended loan to do my tomatoes farming which I did last year. The season has started again for this year too. I therefore want you to finance this loan for me as soon as possible so that I don't get late in the farming as it happened to me last year.

The person I partner to do the tomatoes farm with has runaway with the proceeds from the farm and I am now searching for him. The moment I find him and get my share of the money I will increase my repayment.

The tomatoes farm I invested the loan into is now making fruits. I therefore need to hold the loan for sometime till I start harvesting the tomatoes fruits a month or one and half month before I will be in a position to increase my repayment amount.

I have finished paying my current loan and about to publish the next one. please I beg of you my lenders to fund the next loan for me to enable me do a tomato farm I intend doing in this tomatoes farming season. I just want to divert a bit for like four months and come back to my normal tailoring job. I will be able to make about 65%-90% profit from the farm if I get the money.

I have been a bit busy this festive season because of clients coming in for their shirts and dresses. In fact the machine I bought with the loan has helped me a lot this season. It has helped me save some cost and also deliver on time. My profit margin has increased by 35% as at now.
I wanted to use the profit towards my housing project but I have also cited another job that will earn extra income within the first six(6) months of the year where I am going to invest the profit. Thus, tomatoes farming. I have already used part of the profit to acquire land for the farming.

Upon purchasing the knitting machine with the loan fund my tailoring business is moving on well since I don't have to go about 500 meters long again to do over-lock any more. It has also saved me a cost of $10 a day. Business has started booming up for the Christmas festivities. Profit is increasing gradually from $15 to $28 per day. I am saving the profit towards my building project(house). Some of my sewing clothes and a customer coming for her sewed clothes are attached.

Hello Lenders, I am more than happy to let you know that the loan you funded has been received, with the amount of GHS1075 or $250. I thank you a lot for funding this loan for me. The money has been used to buy an over-lock ( kneating) machine as stated in my proposal. Attached are photos of the machine. This machine will save me the cost of doing over-lock and also gain some money from other tailors and seamstresses who will come and do their over-lock with me. Once again, thank you.
