i did not do my o level due to lack of school fees but immediately after my primary education i got a job as a house help in Nairobi from that i was a able to support the my parents at my work home i mate a friend who connected me with her friend at busia who helped me get a job with the equity bank as a cook is from their that i got the income to start my business of selling blundered juice.I started this business i wanted to be self employed and earn my own money because i realized these job have been does not pay well.I hope by working with Zidisha i will be able to get enough capital to expand my business.
I work with the equity bank as a cook .i also do juice selling. I get fruits like mango pineapple passion and oranges from the market then in the evening when I get home I prepare my juice then I store in the refrigerator ready for sell the next day.
My daily cost on the juice making sum to 600/=
I get fruits daily and for a 300/=, sugar 60/=,disposal glass @ 120 /= for 20 glasses I sell my juice in town I have three shops that I take the drinks I make 10 liters that I sell 20/= per class that I buy at 120/= for 20 glasses. At the end of my sell I collect ksh 1200 for my 10 liters
The demand is high since it summer in Kenya and Many people want to refresh themselves with cold drinks
I started these business after working for equity for two year in the year 2011.it has enabled me to support my parent back at home and am happy to see my siblings back to school
Thank you so much for allowing me to post another loan, this is how i will use the loan if am funded:-Ksh 15000 i will use to buy a small refrigerator to help me preserve and cool my juice. With cool/cold juice i will be able to attract more customers because many people prefer very cold juice when it is hot.By buying this refrigerator i am expecting to increase my profit by 50%.
Then ksh 5000 i will use to buy a bigger juice blender to meet my customers demand. This will enable me to make more juice as i will be selling more. With a new blender i expect at least 15% increase in profit.
Ksh 1000 i will use to buy disposable cups that i will be using to serve my customers then ksh 4000 i will use to buy fruits that i will be using to make juice.
