I was born in a humble family in Meru County. I did my schooling with a hardship situation because of a financial resources from my family. But I managed to complete my form four. To continue my educational process it took me another hardship labor in order to go to college. I was working as a farmer in various farm in order to have some cash to sustain my educational pursue. Now I had a call to serve the church and currently working as a Evangelist in Presbyterian Church of East Africa. Currently am posted in Timau PCEA where am living with my family.
Since I joined zidisha,my business has grown rapidly. I started with a small beauty Solon named blessed hair saloon. Through funding from zidisha,I was able to stock other products as the demand was.these were things like cosmetics, waves and braids, different types of oils, and many others. As the business grew,I was able to introduce a barber shop inside the saloon. This was to take care of men needs.Hear they can step in and have their hair shaved. Not only men but also ladies who wish to shave.
As a result of meeting these customers demand, my business has grown to greater height. This has increased the income of My family. Iam now able to pay school fees for my daughter who is in highschool. As a result I have also been able to join college. Moving forward, their are still some more commodities I wish to stock in future.
in my peace of land that I am currently cultivating, I do rely on rain. For better production, I wish to do a water supply connection for irrigation. This is so because sometimes rains are not reliable.
The other major reason as to why I want to invest on this is that crops that are planted during dry season normally give very high returns. This is so because the supply of the same commodity is very low in the market hence increasing the price. With irrigation also one can plant at any time of the year and these can be three seasons per year. this again will increase on the income and it will ensure my loan payment on time.
This investment together with the current business will ensure that I am able to continue meeting my other day today expenses like paying of school fees and other bills. Since I have been able to maintain a good payment record in my previous loans, I look forward to do it even better with multiple investments.
