About Me

My name is Purity Muthoni Karori. I was born in 1973 at Subukia at Nakuru County. I joined Meongoini Primary School and later joined Meningai High School for my O levels completing in 1990. I later joined Patmat College for a course in dressmaking and design. I worked with Bedi fabrics for 8 years until I decided to start self employment. I started a dressmaking shop in Nakuru where I make all sort of apparels, including school uniforms.

I am married and blessed with 3 children. My business does very well and it is from its proceeds that I was able to purchase a piece of land and put up a house where I live with my immediate family.

My Business

My business is located in Nakuru town in the Rift Valley of Kenya. This is a very busy town with so many inhabitants; this gives a good market for my products. I supply school uniforms to most of the schools and institutions around. Many people prefer my products because they are cheap and of good quality. I usually travel to the city of Nairobi to purchase my raw materials from the manufacturers and direct importers. This makes my products to be cheap while maintaining a high standard. The only challenge my business faces is lack of an electric sewing machine to simplify my production. With the Zidisha platform, I would be able to fulfill my dream of expanding my business.

Loan Proposal

To you my lenders, for this loan I am intending to spend the entire loan of US $450 together with what I will top up to purchase a brand new embroidery machine to boost my clothing production business. This will enable me to take huge orders of labeling school logos on uniforms, branding of caps, T/shirts for occasions and events, etc. Currently, I pass these jobs to other firms in my locale; hence, I am losing huge revenues on the same. Buying the machine will boost my business few folds ahead. I look forward to your timely funding of my bids. Thanks in anticipation. God bless you all.

Purity is trying to overcome the financial constraints that her business has been facing. She made a repayment of Ksh 500/- on 17th and another 500/- on 24th. kindly bear with her as she adjusts. Thanks

i would like to reschedule my loan repayment amount to Ksh 501 due to low business turnover. this is a country wide problem coursed by the recent prolonged heavy floods which were fatal and wrecked a lot of havoc and massive destruction to properties affecting all sectors of our economy. this made my business to slow down almost to standstill, i apologies for an inconvenience coursed.

I have spoken to Purity and she had made an adjustment but for some reason the system seems to have not detected the change. She has faithfully paid the adjusted amounts thinking the system was okay. She will try and adjust again in order to maintain her on time repayment percentage. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

I convey my thanks to you all for lending me my previous loan which turned out to be very helpful; I was able to purchase a new electric sewing machine for my business. As you all know using an electric appliance make things much easier thank the manual one. For this reason I was to speed up my clothing and school uniform production from 4 pieces a day to 10. This is a great achievement indeed which would not have realized without you good people. Thanks and may God bless you.

Thanks to you all my lenders for your continued support. my business is doing good and still going strong. i would like to adjust my installment from ksh 500 to ksh 200 reason being we have entered a planting season here in Kenya where most of the people will concentrate on buying seeds and fertilizer, this will result into low turnover in my business. i have done this to safeguard my good relationship with you. i hope to readjust again once this season is over. God Bless.

Thanks to you all my lenders for your continued support. for this second loan, i am planing to expand my business by buying more clothing materials to make school uniforms in my tailoring shop. many people at this time are making uniforms for their young one in readiness to start baby class next year. by so doing i will capitalize on this demand which is currently paying well. this will help me to make enough capital to sustain my business. Thanks to you all.
