About Me

I am Kwadwo Tamatey, the first born of four. I attended St. Mary's Preparatory School at Sunyani. I furthered at the Christ International Junior High School and then attended Senior High at Twene Amanfo Senior High School. After my Senior High School education, I decided to work at the washing bay to earn some money to help me progress to the University since my father had no money on him. After four years of hardwork, I could gather some amount of money which I used for my tuition fee at the Catholic University. From school, I came to Atronie to teach the young children. It was there that I realized these children lacked a lot of academic utilities such as school bags, school uniforms, sandals, tuition fees and even chop money. They have to fast for almost half of the day so most of them have dropped out. Only a few who have decided to endure this hardship are now enrolled in the school. Some of them even share mat (not even bed) with their parents. These children really needed help so I decided to help and encourage them. The people at Atronie are very humble and respectful. Most of the children wish to be engineers and doctors. I like reading and football.

My Business

I am a teacher St. Charles lwanga R/C primary school at Atronie in Sunyani. I realized how these children were suffering so I decided to help them by supplying them with academic utilities with my own monthly salary. I am doing this for the children to encourage them to go school to become better citizens for the nation. My service to these children is very important because without my little help, most of them would have dropped out. Due to Zidisha's help, I have been able to hired a better place for these children, bought school uniforms, books, and many other relevant items they will need at school. I have hired someone who cooks for them and bath the younger ones before and after school. Every month, I spend close to $200 on the children depending on their needs. Even though things are not good these days, I have made up my mind to help these children. Thanks to Zidisha, I have been able to provide some basic things to these children but I would be glad if Zidisha would continue with this good things it has been doing for the kids. I will use the loan to buy things for these children, provide them proper food and make their living a better one.

Loan Proposal

I am so grateful to you for my first loan. Thank you all. When I am given this second loan, I will use it to sustain the children. I will use it to get the children better living standards. I will make sure I continue to supply these children food, reading materials, tables, chairs, pencils, crayons and books. These items may cost about $120. Also, since these children have to pay for their fees and printing fees, I would use part of the money to take care of that. That would also cost $50 I would again provide the kids who could not benefit from the first loan, sandals, shoes and school bags. Looking at their number, these would also cost around $70. Please my request to you is that you assist me in taking care of these poor children. They really need your help to achieve their aims. Thank you.
