About Me

My name is Catherine Naliaka Wanyama am 24 years old born and raised in the rural parts of Western Kenya. I was raised in a family that depend and primarily exercise farming.
After completing my secondary school back in 2018, l joined Laikipia University for my undergraduate studies which failed in year two on financial grounds, couldn't raise my school fees neither do my guardian could.

Therefore, I embarked on farming to raise my school fees as well as Carter for my basic needs.

Currently am practicing mixed farming; both crop farming and poultry farming. In crop farming l planted sugar canes and tree farming. As per now I have over a 1000trees and two acres of sugar cane farm.

My Business

Western part of Kenya is well known to have fertile soil and reliable rainfall. Farming is the backbone of the region.
Currently as stated above am practicing mixed farming both crop farming and poultry farming.
I planted my first sugar cane back in 2020 which was half an acre which has been increasing steadily due to the support l receive from Zidisha group, thanks to the community.
Apart from that I have long term project: tree farming which again I rolled the program in 5/6/2020 and my target is to have over 10,000 trees in the coming ten years.
