About Me

I came into being in 1989 in our rural home in kineni. I undertook my studies in kineni primary school where I successfully graduated and joined St. Gonzaga Gonza Isoge secondary school for my o- level studies. Also from there, I managed to graduate after a four year period. After that I had to wait for some time for my parents to compose themselves so that they could help me join college. Since I come from a humble background where we only depended on farming, I had to bear and both I and the parents were able to do where we could best to sustain the lives and also to invest without forgetting on the support we could to my little brothers and sisters. After collecting the certificates from my graduation school, I had to join rift valley institute of science and technology for an advanced career to my life and even to our family. I undertook diploma in business management where I am now my last study session. Besides being in school, I had to change my mind s since the ever changing dynamics of the economy can’t allow one to depend on one thing. I hadn’t secured employment but I had to put that to my second priority because employment in this country of ours isn’t guaranteed. I therefore thought of a good business idea that could support me and at least keep me busy and growing my investments.my business therefore came up as a result of personal saving that I had for quite some time secured to better my life and that of my family at large. That is how I started my barber shop with some little resources and assets.it is now picking at a better rate since even the population is growing. This helps to generate some income which I use for booking my examinations. Now I’m set to personally establish myself!

My Business

My business, Trends Barber Shop is where now most guys and even adults come to be shaved and even to relax. Purely I shave with all kinds of modern and recent haircuts available to suit the demand and the generation. With the available quality machines which help me deliver the state of the art service, my customers always come for more. Developing a good rapport with my customers, understanding them and giving them what they need most is what I do. This is as a result of my course I undertook in college.my services are of high demand generally because of the population. The higher the population, the more the demand of the services and even the goods themselves. Also the change of tastes for different desires has made many to use my services. Besides that, I also charge mobile phones at a fee where most people do. This is of course attributed by the fact that most of the households here haven’t been on the national grid of power connection. What solely drove me to this kind of business is my college exposure. Why? We used to go over a very long way to access the services of a barber. This to me, i decide that I can turn this into a money generating avenue before more identify it. Now I can cushion more school children where they are shaved at a fee. Also the business was quite cheap to establish since it required no a lot of heavy capital investment. This enabled me to do it through my saved monies.
I earn revenue basically from little investments in the shamba where I do cultivate 3 month crops that can yield more income over a short period of time. This is made possible by my hard working parents who support me at every stage. But proud to say this, the business is now independent and it can now run on itself since the income that is generated helps to pay the barber when I’m not around and also helps me to pay rent. I now need to expand, and modernize the shop. Also I need to introduce the salon where I can tap the gap.

Loan Proposal

My business, which is a barber shop, needs to be modernized and enhanced to increase its handling capacities. Currently it holds a maximum of three sitting customers at a time.my plan rather my wish is to handle a minimum of five people.so I need to add some comfy “chairs” for my clients to enjoy the services and I also intend to buy two more shaving machines, I need to expand the room, I need to buy a heating facility to warm water to rinse my clients when they are done with shaving. If all goes as I have planned, I will buy a new multichoice TV decoder to show the EPL and European soccer matches which as at now is lacking in these locality. This will be in the expanded room to act as a flavor to the business though some fees will be charged to increase my business net worth and base. This will of course increase my business client’s base and even the loyalty by perfectly delivering the services to the locals. That is not all! There is a next room which is vacant. I need to tap the gap to start new and decent salon for ladies to enjoy the services. That needs of course huge capital to pay for the machines and those who are working there since the nearest one (salon) is miles away. I also plan that one to be trendy to suit the current market needs. I’m sure but doing this; my profits will grow by a better margin. This will in fact place me at a good position to be independent and a useful tool in the society. in fact I need more money to expand this business
