I am almost 25 years old, shy 3 years approximately. I hail from a humble background in the east-most parts of Uganda. However, I spent my entire childhood in Nyahururu Town, located in the central parts of Kenya. I studied both my primary and secondary school programs in Nyahururu Town. I did my Primary schooling in Nyahururu Elite before joining Nyahururu High School, a provincial school still located at the center of Nyahururu township. Yes, I did perform well in primary school, but due to various reasons, I failed to perform well in High School. As a result, I opted to take on a diploma program in Computer Science. Shy some 5 months later since taking on this program, I dropped out of college, following my father's death. Yes, it was a tragic moment and period for us as a family but we had to push on. I can rightfully say that maybe education or rather, college wasn't my way of life but I'm supposedly in a better position than that which my my lovely and caring father left me in. He did lead me in the direction of getting well-educated and using my achievements to sort out my life. However, he taught me a lot, most of which has made me see this day as a grown-up with unique skills and knowledge I couldn't have gained in school. I love him, besides loving art and the art of being unique in whatever I do. I treasure what he taught me, and I strive to use that to help my family as a whole.
Immediately after my father's passing on, I sought daily labor works that could earn me some pennies. I had to drop out of college, given my mum couldn't afford the private school fees on her own. The jobs I got by then were just enough to sustain my brothers and sisters. I didn't get any chance to save any cash at all. Luckily, I talked with my far uncle who promised that he would ensure I've joined the army. One year later, I joined the Ugandan Army as a recruit, did my part quite well and got an official job for the first time in my life. I've worked this way for almost an year and a half. I earn a gross income of $200 per month. So far, I've been using my income on my family, as well as my wife whom we got engaged just about an year ago. I look forward to much in my life, hoping that I will gain lots in the long run.,
I plan on using this loan to meet all the required school fees needed by my sisters. This will require me to pay almost $150, part of which I'll get from Zidisha. I will use other means to source for the approximate remaining $80. This will enable my sisters to complete their final year, as they head for school to tackle on their final examinations. It will also release much burden from my struggling mother and be of much aid to her. I will make sure to use my monthly earnings to pay this loan by the end of September. I can say I'm lucky to have been invited to Zidisha, and I'm certain that it will make me grow, creating a great relationship with all of you, both my lenders and Zidisha as a whole. Thanks a lot.
