About Me

I was brought up in a family of 11 children. I was the fifth born seven girls and four boys.My father was a chef and My mother was a business lady in one of the local shops near our place of residence. I and my siblings used to school in a nearby school.My parents were so hard working to make us eat and have a good lively though it was not easy. We used to stay in a two bedroom rented house in the suburbs of nairobi.
Seeing that life was quite hard my parents relocated to our rural home and so we were taken to a rural boarding school with my two siblings and my mother embarked on domestic farming so as to provide for the family and supplement what my father was earning .
When I was growing up I used to love it when I went to the farm to collect eggs with a basket from the hatches and also feed the chicken ,from this I purposed to do poultry business .
The people I live with prefer white meat to red meat because they believe that white meat is healthy for eating and does not have cholesterol compared to red meat which is fatty,therefore the demand for white meat is high but the supply is low , generally people love poultry meat and it is found in almost cafe or restaurant .
I have two children, a boy and a girl, when they grow up one would like to become a flying doctor and the other would want to become a banker or a business person since she is studying finance and business management.
My best hobby is helping people who are in need especially those who have been disciplined like the elderly, sick of terminal diseases, and the vulnerable children in the society, l like reaching out and just being there for them because I feel I can at least supplement their meals with protein which is rarely found among the needy and poor.

My Business

I do poultry farming in my home and sell eggs and chicken either live ones or l slaughter them and sell when they are well packed and sometimes I do the delivery of the chicken at door post as I receive oders from my neighbor's and friends.
Now days people prefer white meat to red meat because they believe white meat is a healthy food compared to red meat which is fatty and has a lot of cholesterol, therefore the demand for white meat is so high but the supply is low.
What made me choose this type of business is because when I was growing up I found it fun and interesting picking the eggs from the hatches in a basket and delivering them to the neighbours who in exchange gave me money and my mum was able to buy food for the chicken .It is also easy to manage this business because it doesn't need a lot of input or capital to begin or start off.
The poultry business is also good because I don't need to be present most of the time therefore I can take care of other errands without straining so long there is adequate feeds available for their consumption .
The requirements for poultry farming are easily available and acessible, someone need a not struggle get what is require. The business can also be done through phone.
The profits I get from the small scale poultry I keep in my savings so that I enlarge My business because the demand is growing while the supply is low ,I also supply my family with the eggs to cater for their nutrition. I intend to enlarge my business so that I can pay promptly the school fees of my daughter who is in university and needs to finish her projects and also take care of my electricity bills and water .I need more capital to enlarge the business and improve time and way of delivering goods.

Loan Proposal

Thanks lenders for your continued support, l intend to pay for my university education since am not yet through with tution,per semester l pay 500$ and lam in the so cond semester ,second year, lam taking care of myself and my daughter's university fee ,this is very heavy on me since l still have other children in school whom lam still taking care.in a year l spend at least 1500$ on tution fee alone for all my family members. I used the first loan to expand my poultry business and from the profits l was able to enrol in the university for business studies degree so that l could acquire knowledge and skills to improve in management of my business. I was also able to hire 3 people to assist me in the business as l pursue my classwork in the university. My children are still benefiting from the poultry and lam happy for the decision l made.l expect to improve on skills in poultry so that l am able to do large scale farming in poultry, l love it and enjoy
