About Me

My name is Jonathan Zulu (Snr), born on 25-11-56. At that time, education was free and inclusive school requirements. I have no idea of who bought my school uniform. All I know is that there was no-one who volunteered to look after me because of which,I was an orphan, I grew up and stayed with many people from primary school up to secondary school. I worked hard and very good at school and that earned me favor and favor saw me through to the end.
Many people that I put up with loved farming and gardening, and I began loving agriculture activities as years went by. When I was done with college and started to work, I also started to look for land on which to do farming and keeping livestock. I am glad, to be on the farm now although, because of lucking finances, little farming activities using hoes is done and vegetables for household consumption are grown and watered by watering canes.
The land on my farm plot is very good for poultry, animal keeping and fertile for agriculture. The community is mixed people of mixed cultures but we get along well with all the farmers near to us.
I love listening to international news and events round about. I love going to church and helping the needy. Also do a lot of pre-marital counseling project ideas to young people.

My Business

I am currently keeping village chickens because I am not able to meet the cost of feed for broilers, due to that fact that an a retired printer by profession. I have just trans-planted some vegetables, tomatoes and onions on a smaller scale. I earnestly hope that, one day my garden and farming activities will be on a large scale.
Vegetables are in high demand as few farmers brave to grow them due to different factors (e.g. transportation, chemicals etc.)
For the new loan, I will commit to selling pig meat whose market is already procured.
In addition to the pig meat business, production of unique Bible events booklets will run side by side.
The above businesses were chosen because they are profitable and chemicals required are less and are affordable too. Profits from the project help us to supplement on paying school fees for three (3) of our children who are in higher learning education institutions and the house we live in is not finished, so we are improving on the building slowly from the same profits.
In 2019, I have decided to venture into the production of unique Bible events booklets to be sold to lovers of the word of God. Hence the application for a loan.
The demand for the unique Bible events booklets is high and I have decided to increase the production of booklets in my next loan once it's approved.
The production and sales of the booklets has been very stead and encouraging including the demand from the target groups.
The first 2020 ZIDISHA loan will be used to further increase marginally the same booklets and improve on the cover outlook which needed graphic attention which when done will boost the demand and sales.

Loan Proposal

The loan will be used to purchase materials for the production of unique Bible events booklets and the requiments for running the car wash business. This business is new yet to be set up but the infrastructure is already done.

Gas generators cost money to operate Jonathan. Consider solar panels, 12v pump, and a holding tank. No gas, no oil, no breakdowns. ...from an old farmer.

      Thanks Dave
It's true that solar is the best and cheaper option to go for at the farm. The initial costs of buying the needed solar system equipments is too expensive in my country Zambia. Yes that is the way to go in the near future.
Great I appreciate your input fellow farmer.

    Hello Lenders,

I spoke to Jonathan today and he explained to me that yesterday (12/06/2020) he made two payments of K301, total K602.

He however mentioned that the amount has not yet been credited to his account. He also mentioned that he tried unsuccessfully to adjust his loan schedule due to a technical glitch.

He mentioned that though his business was not doing well at the moment due to the COVID-19 pandemic, nevertheless he was optimistic that the situation would normalise in order for him to make prompt repayments. Thank you.

When my loan was disbursed, I was extremely excited in that the machine that I ever needed so much for the business operations which was on laybye was to be paid for fully ( which it was paid in full ). Then I purchased the materials for printing booklets and went on to purchase requisites to set up finally the car wash business and the biggest and unexpected challenge showed up from the east
    THE CORONA VIRUS ( covid 19 )
    Then Social restrictions
    Then movements restrictions
    Then businesses restrictions
    Then the big one LOCKDOWN

    The whole world should
    STAY AT HOME
There is no business and everyone should be wearing face masks and keep washing and sanitizing there hands to avoid the virus.
Now every one is at home and afraid of one another including the things on and with them for fear of contracting the virus. People are told not to be spending money any how for tomorrow situation may be worse.
Iam now on complete zero business with the ZIDISHA LOAN to be repaid. My tenant is unable to pay rentals because he's at home no salary. From my vegetable garden the people in the neighbourhood have opted to be stealing day and nights instead of buying because they have no money to pay for vegetables.
NOW instead of being at peace, there is now storms too heavy to carry and contend with.
My heart desire is to remain faithful with ZIDISHA and to be helpful to others too.
THIS IS AND REMAIN TO BE A BIG WORRISOME AND SET BACK.
I NEED TO BE CHEERED UP

The administration office communicated with me that, if I pay off the loan balance before the 4th February 2020 the loan limit amount assured was slightly more than what has been communicated to me and I have already confirmed my commitment to use the loan and pay back according to the tabulation although the amount is not as promised
My final repayment was paid on the 3rd February which was before the 4th February. I panicked to beat the deadline communicated in order to be considered on a slightly higher loan than what I'm already told that it's approved which on its own is welcome and Iam waiting for it.

I'm grateful to all my lenders for being there for me. The lenders participation in my life affairs has made me feel I'm not alone in life. They have given me a purpose driven life because they are in my boat.
Iam also notifying them that I have finished repaying the loan.
With the loan obtained, I was able to increase the booklets production and I managed to employ one energetic young man who is now helping me with the work. In addition, I made some payment towards the procurement of the book pressing equipment. The loan limit restricted the amounts to be paid. I can't progress at the faster rate. But that is clearly understood. I hope to be considered on the special loan arrangement.
Hey! I'm joyful old young man saying thank you so very much to all my wonderful lenders. How I wish to meet with you personally. May the favour of the Lord Jesus Christ locate you and bless you

    Greetings to all my lenders
This post acknowledges to my lenders that the money you released for the purpose of helping me was actually given to me and I received the money which was wholly used to pay towards the procurement of the book pressing equipment. I still have the balance to be paid towards the same. God is loving and faithful to do all that He promises. Thank God that, the amount owing towards the purchase of the equipment is now less than half.
I have just sent my final repayment on the loan that I got.
Thank you so very much for your generosity. May God hear and answer you when you call on Him. He is your Father.
Lastly, I want to say that I am ready for the next loan which I hope will be considered urgently to enable me get into the production process of the Unique bible events booklets.
    Yours loving
