About Me

I was born in 1990 in rongai at that time we were in Nakuru before in was changed to subcounties,I was born and brought up by my mum Ann Mumbi nyambura,I am a Kenyan by birth my names are David mwaura and I reside in rongai town with my family, I am the third born of this family of five where my siblings are Evans kariuki,Leeroy mwaura and Mary nyambura,I was brought by my single parent since I was five years but my mum later passed away when I was fourteen years old, my mum was diagnosed with a heart cancer which she was being taken from hospital to hospital without any changes until the last time she passed away now I live in the same town in sawasawa estate in plot 352.education,I started my schooling journey in rongai at nursery school called rongai catholic nursery school for three consecutive years, later I went to Gicheha primary school where I started my primary education level in 1996 whereby I went to school by foot for five kilometers away from my home and back in the evening but we were so many in our town so there was no big problem going to school in 2003 I repeated class eight due to lack of money to take me to high school so I had to repeat also so that to get better marks to take me to a great high school and I 2004 I did my k.c.p.e and got some good marks where I booked myself a place in a secondary school at the same town of which it is a missionary school in the name of rongai boys secondary school.
I joined rongai boys secondary for four years until I finished my o-level education, after finishing my secondary I was forced at home to help my brothers with little work here and there as I proceeded to search for a job but fortunately as I did little here and there I did rescue a little amount of money that enabled me to open my business and thereafter be a help to my family.

My Business

After I finished my o -level and started to look for a job, I started saving some money in order for me to start a job of mine because as I had looked from far in our home town people are proud of their jobs(self employed)so I decided that one day come rain come sunshine I wanted to be my own boss at work so I saved some money till I got 20000sh of which I started my own job that was in 2007,I started a soup, later it became a butchery where I know sell meat to local people and those who are in up country.
A kg of meat in our town retails at three hundred and twenty shillings, a customer can come to my butchery and ask either for a quarter, half or kilo of meat so it means that we served big and small customers at the same time there are challenges at work, because you need to be clean to attract customers and slaughter good meat because if you don’t people will go to the other butcheries and you will lose your customers and your meat could end up rotten or dumped. so what I have to do is to have enough stock of cattle and goats so that you don’t end up closing you job before time. the profit I get I pay for my house rent, electricity and looking after my small family, am married with two kind, the remaining money I save with rongai Sacco where I have been a member for the past five years, sacco help me a lot when my job is down I always go to them and ask them for a loan and they help me for quit along period of time. Other challenges that are in our town are big farm that grow flowers and the laborers there are big monthly and some of them including managers who takes our meat on daily bases on credit so if you don’t plan on your work well you may end up waiting for them to come and pay for a period of more than one week after being paid though they always pay back their dept they owe me but sometime early or late depending on the date they are being payed by the company, others even disappear and some other customers fail to pay back at all.my first year at job I had a big loss though I always believed in power of help and respect to my customers at times they did come and take meat at my butchery others take soup and leave sayin that they will come and pay this was the greatest disappointment of my job at the start of this job but know I did step up and limited credit to other customers and also I have tried so hard to wipe out credit in my bussine for I did realize that it was putting me down at hence forth my business has been of great importance to my family and my community at large

Loan Proposal

first of all i will use the loan that i will get to upgrade my business as follows
1. i will use 22.6540 usd to start meat order outside Rongai town so that to perfect my soup shop
2.i will use 25.5084 usd to buy few utensils so that to attract more customers
and in doing the above i will have my customers flowing in my soup shop also by buying utensils like new cups and variety of soup dishes that will enhance proper hygien in my soup shop this will make customers to love coming back for more soup and meat also ordering for meat outside rongai town will ensure that my customers will have a constant supply of meat all over the week and this will also reduce customers moving to other butchery and soup shops because they will always have what they need anytime of the week.
