About Me

As a young undergraduate student back in the year 2009, I was lookking for a fourth year project for my degree in Food Science and Technology. Having been born in Arid and Semi-Arid lands of Makueni, I came along purple cactus fruits that were rich in Betalains, flavanoids and other phytochemicals essesntial for management of lifestyle disease and saw money spinning venture in the despised cactus. The innovation was recognized by the Reserach, production and extension department of Jomo Kenyatta Univesity of Agriculture and Technology and won the most innovative project of the yea in 2013. The Funding helped me Join my post-graduate studies and later venture into entrepreneurship in cactus process.
