I am a married woman and mother of four children, I have a small business, that consists in going to Gambia to purchase goods and then come back to Dakar, I sell fabrics and shoes. I am the breadwinner fo the family and with the small business, we manage to survive. I sell as a peddler and I intend to have my store if I can have financial help to better manage my business. Since I started the business I do not regret it. I have brothers and sisters and I am originally from Dakar. I went to school but I did not get any degree that is what pushed me into the business. My whole family does business; in the morning we get up at 6am to come back in the evening at 19h, we make small savings from our income, but because of the difficulties a small funding could improve our business. I have been encouraged since my childhood to participate in the community life. In my neighborhood, I have participated in many community activities and I am very involved in the neighborhood businesses. Especially, in the development of women, after some time I left the canteen to get into the trade of goods and I invested more in the poultry that I intend to develop in partnership with a friend.
As I have explained to you now I have a store, my children help me and I make little trips to the region in order to buy goods, I have more clients and with your help I could improve my business. Trade works well but lacks the means especially in periods like December or holidays and weekends. All these privileges allow me to do especially well, but on the condition that customers find what they need. As I am living in a developing country, I count on your help to help me meet my needs and better manage my business.
Now with the new year, I have projects with companies that give me small trade for their staff. I sell goods and at the end of the month the accountant pays me. And the goods are cheaper now that taxes have been reduced, God thank you.
With a little bit of willpower, l will get through this crisis, but we must always work to get by, and as I've told you, I have always worked since my childhood.
Hello, I have just completed my last loan and I would like to start another to increase my sales, since my clientele has also increased. I would like to open a store for stocking my products, because so far I have sold them outside, but the demand for them has increased. Thank you for the help that Zidisha has given us. Now I am going into the south to buy outfits and shoes to resell downtown. This loan will help me save money and care for my family, and I count on paying on time.
