About Me

My name is Maimouna Soumare, I was born on February 19, 1990 at Mbao. I live in Dakar, Senegal. I am single with no children, and I live with my parents. There are 12 people in my family. I went to primary and secondary school, but had to stop because of my parents' financial situation. I worked hard to provide financial support for my family, but now I am working for myself. I sell local products with the help of my sisters and little by little things are going.

My Business

I did the training for local products at the institution of Ste. Marthe Derklé in 2008, and have been in business since I then. I sell my goods from home because I cannot afford a shop. I sell my products to shopkeepers, mini markets, neighbors, etc. Customers like my products because I do them right and they can be stored safely for up to one year. It works because I don't have to do too much and the trade is profitable.

Loan Proposal

I can buy 10 kilos of millet which will cost me 3,500 francs and 10 kilos of maize for 5,000 francs. From 10 kilos of millet you can get ten 1-kilo packets, which are sold for 500 francs each, and from 10 kilos of maize you can get ten 1-kilo packets that sell for 750 francs each. I save the profits because I want to travel and in the future become a great businesswoman to help my family.

je m'appelle maimouna soumare,née le 19 février 1990 a mbao, j'habite à la sicap liberté 1 villa 1295e. dakar senegal, je suis célibataitere sans enfant je vis avec mes parents ont n'est une familles nombreuses de 12 personnes, j'ai fais des études primaire et secondaire,j'ai du arrété top les études a cause de la situation financiéres de mes parents.j'ai travaillé beaucoup pour les soutenir financiérement à la maisson,maintenant je travail pour moi avec les produits locaux a l'aide de mes soeurs est sa marche petit à petit.

j'ai fait la formation pour les produits locaux la l"instition sainte marthe de derklé depuis 2008 et depuis la je pratique se kon ma aprit labas.j'exposes mes marchandises à la maison cause du manque de moyens pour la location,je fourni mes produits aux boutiquiers et les mini marchés aussi,et les voisines aucssi etc...les clients aiments mes marchandises parce que c'est bien fait,on peux le garder 1an san risque.on y gagne un peut cause je fait pas beaucoup,et la commerce est rentable parce que tu pert pas
